I figured I'd bring this thread to your attention:

http://www.forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=407859&page=29&pp=15

From the end of that page(assuming you have it set to 20 posts/page) on, it devolves into much insult-hurling.

The thread has been locked pending Mod review.

It would help if links were provided to specific posts. A brief glance detects at least two rulebreakers in that thread.

Three. There's at least three.

Well, I didn't put links in because it seemed to me that most of the thread turned into flaming and baiting.

That said, now that you've stated you'd like me to link to the posts involved in the hijack/flamewar, I will.

Wasn't that with Ringrot, who already got in trouble? That's the only trouble before it that I had noticed.

i respect the fact that you help the mods keep the forum clean and tidy, and call attentio to rule breakers. however,i NEVER asked if miehm was a KKK memeber, and actually never even referenced the KKK in any of my posts. ever. so saying that i started it by calling him a KKK type is wrong. and what on earth is post #449 doing on there? as for my use of the word M*******, it was asterisked, and not said. the very nature of that thread was very inflammatory, accusuing all minorities of doing soemthing that is highly offensive to me, as i made clear in my first post on the thread. is post #448 on the list because i called myself a bigot?. there are also many other threads on general that are highly insensitive, ones directed at homophobes, puerto ricans, etc etc. why havent you called attention to any of those?

"Miehm" and "Dobbs Town" have past histories and have been deleted.

"zyeckitan" has been officially warned and threatened with deletion.

"Occidio Multus" has been forumbanned for 2 weeks.

...and I just realized that I forgot to handle "Ringrot". He will be deleted momentarily.

...and I just realized that I already deleted "Ringrot" a few days ago.

I'm losing track of my kills.

That makes about as much sense as this: [Moderator Edit - Cogitation: Links to that site are strictly forbidden on NationStates.] that is to say, absolutely none.

I'm sorry about that, I didn't know that e-baums was on the do not link list, I was just trying to make a point concerning the rediculousness of the statement that I had quoted. I'd like to request that my nations be restored and I do apologize and will know better at a later time.

I noticed that in no place on this site was there any post or sticky stating that links to ebaums were against the rules, I checked, on the search function there were a few posts with links to ebaums, but nowhere on the list of banned actions did I find the site ebaums world or any other site for that matter to be a deletable or modable action.

You weren't deleted for the link. You were deleted for the flamebait in this (http://www.forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=8724240&postcount=455) post.

And what he'd said wasn't flame baiting? Also I'm not understanding why Hammers Slammers was deleted as well, since that nation hadn't done anything wrong in this situation, unlike last time, I don't like the fact that my other nation was deleted because of the actions of another nation that I controlled, even though that nation didn't post anything wrong.

An investigation into past events shows that "Miehm" was forbumanned and you evaded the forumban using "Hammers Slammers". Both nations should have been deleted then; this somehow got overlooked. So, you were really living on borrowed time since then.

The mod said it wouldn't be held against me and that I had only recieved a warning as Hammers Slammers, I don't remember who it was, it might have been frisbeeteria, but the point is, he sais it was only a warning. Also I would like to know why cat-tribe was not forumbaned for his statements, which were easily as much flamebaiting as mine were, I would like to have some sort of action taken against him, since I was deleted for flamebaiting, he should at least be forumbanned in my opinion(which I'm sure doesn't matter very much here) but I still think that this is a case of selective moderation, and would like a second mod to review the action taken against Hammers Slammers at least.

I'm going to overlook things.

"The Cat-Tribe" has been issued an official warning for flamebait.

he should at least be forumbanned in my opinion(which I'm sure doesn't matter very much here)He now has one offense on his record and it's not an offense severe enough to warrant a forumban.

but I still think that this is a case of selective moderation, and would like a second mod to review the action taken against Hammers Slammers at least. I'll discuss this with the Forum Mod who warned Hammers Slammers and another Game Mod.

The mod said it wouldn't be held against me and that I had only recieved a warning as Hammers SlammersNot true. Here's what I said in this thread (http://www.forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=412628)Evading a forumban to complain about a moderation decision I might have tolerated, long enough to clear the air. Evading a forumban to post here and then going back to the banned thread to post gets Hammers Slammers forumbanned for three days as well.

We're not done here, either, just all I've got time for right now. Do it a third time and all your nations will most likely go away for good.
As for the further comments:
I'll have to clear up the details with the Mod involved; evading a forumban is normally a delete-worthy offense.

As a Forum Mod, the heaviest hammer in my toolbelt is the Forumban. Since I made the ruling at work (where I don't have a handy IRC client for discussion with other mods), I forumbanned both nations with the intent to follow up later. Frankly, I forgot to follow up.

Cogitation is correct in the first quoted statement. I merely lacked the tool to implement the appropriate punishment. "Hammers Slammers" should have been deleted earlier, and Cogitation was correct in his action.

All right, I must have misunderstood, I thought it was just a warning and that any further action would be based on the circumstances involved. When you said that "if it happened a third time" my nations would be deleted I thought you meant that if I repeated the offense that I'd been banned for I'd be deleted.

It doesn't work that way. The web is far too broad and cross-linked for us to ever compile such a list, and absence from a list of "forbidden sites" doesn't mean it's welcome on NationStates.

A couple of popular sites that ARE on the list would be ebaumsworld and albinoblacksheep. I'm sure there are others that are strictly forbidden (including virtually every adult, warez, and pr0n site), but there is no secret Mod list that we can publish. You'll just have to live with that.

We're not going to drag this topic out into an endless "what about this.com?" crap. There's no definitive list, and if maddux decides to add pr0n to his page, he'll be forbidden. We don't control other sites' content, so we can't tell you if they are going to post material we don't allow.

I will add this: we've all seen the dumb zombie links at kevan.org. We've been quitely removing them from sigs and posts, but it's getting overwhelming. So stop it already. We don't care how many brains you can get people to eat, and we're going to keep deleting them. If people repost again, it will be considered "outwar-style" referral spam, with associated warnings.
