Is there a way to ban somebody from a General thread?

In the RP forums you can usually keep unwanted posters out by saying "Closed RP" or "Invite Only", or even just "XXXXX Stay Out!", but I'm unaware of any legal way to keep somebody out of a General thread. Short of them flaming and getting banned by the Mods is there any way to prevent somebody from posting?

Nope, General threads are open to everyone as far as I know. Your only possibility is to use the Jolt ignore function, then you won't see his/her posts.

Sanctaphax is, as far as I know, correct, Klonor. I'd be interested myself if knowing if there are other options, though...

General threads are open to all. Posters who behave badly in them (flaming, trolling, flamebaiting, etc.) will be subject to the same warnings/sanctions that apply to everyone.

Drat, I guess I'll have to appeal to his decency and ask him to stay out......I'm screwed
