I was recently 'deleted' for posting stuff about "warez", in reference to a show on Comedy Central called "Con." The thread was several days old, I hadn't seen anyone reply to it, and so far as I knew, it was dead. But, apparently, there are certain zealous individuals, who scan through everything, so they can get that childish thrill by pressing the "Delete Nation" button, like a rabid dog attacking an animal. ;)
...Which is why... I need to ask if this thread would be allowed. I figure I'd better clear it with you than end up deleted later, having to create another nation. It certainly hints at some of my feelings about what's happened, with this, but that's not its main focus, and its satire does bring up valid points. After all, I know what's against the rules, but not the punishments. For all I know "mildly mocking the moderators" gets you an instant-delete. And really, I feel that there should be a line between flamebaiting and expressing one's own opinion in an offensive manner. I notice that Frisbeeteria, when moderating, repeatedly makes pithy, tongue-in-cheek remarks, as if she\he were a high school student slinging "Your mom" jokes back and forth to amuse an ignorant crowd---and no action is taken. (On a side-note, I think it's ironic to insult someone for using massive amounts of quotes, and then argue about it, using massive amounts of quotes to do so.) And so, as stated before, I'd like to clear this thread with you to make sure it's okay.

Freedom of speech has gone too far.
In my opinion, freedom of speech has gone way too far. There are many unethical and financially damaging issues that need to be taken care of, particularly on the internet.
Specifically, they are:
Offensive content, such as "shock sites" and pornography.
Information on how to commit crime
Political propaganda, in the form of smear-sites and blog.
We need stamp these things out. It needs to be eliminated. Gone. Permanently. There's far too many hackers on the internet, telling people how to steal music, movies, and software, and it should be halted immediately. That's why I propose that they add at least $1 billion to the FBI's computer fraud division, so that they can break into ANY computer they need to, in order to stop "hacking." I don't care how many nerds, dorks, and geeks we have to give state-of-the-art equipment to and loads of cash... In order to protect the privacy of Americans, it absolutely must be done. Seeing how the majority of the Patriot Act will stay as law, even after the sunset period is up, I think we definitely have the legal momentum...er...I mean, authority.
Also, there should be an independent commission to moderate offensive content. The commission would be made up of mostly moral people, such as priests, Conservative politicians, economists, businessmen, and anyone who charitably donates to the G.O.P. campaigns. Many psychologists have said that dividing people into groups, each with their own "ranks" or "symbols" has been a major cause of prejudice, even if not quite apparent. It is called the theory of "Us and Them", and it is when we face absolute disenchantment with reality, when alienating ourselves from another group, that terrifies us, whether it's an invading American army, Los Angeles gangs, or even a constant deluge of trollers and spammers on an online forum. Yes, psychologists say it's quite clear how such things as power can lead to corruption and bigotry, looking at the world through rose-tinted glasses, further affirmed by laws of conformity, the actor\observer Effect and the fundamental attribution Error.
But they're mostly liberals. What do they know? I wouldn't trust a psychologist even if he paid me. Actually, wait, no, I take that back. I might trust him, or at least pretend to, like the way that FreeRepublic.com pretends to trust Bush.
Anyway, that brings us to our last point: online, political propaganda. This liberal conspiracy all began with fluoridation of water. Yes. You got that right, fluoridation. It's been proven to kill, as it's in rat poison (or something like that), and they put it in our water. And when did fluoridation first start? When the Soviet Union came into power! Until recently, fluoridation was the most dangerous thing our society had ever known. But now, Communists disguise themselves as Liberals. In fact, I wouldn't even say there's a single "liberal" left in America. No, no, the Democrats--they're all Communists. Look at how they want universal healthcare and higher taxes for the rich. They don't want to promote the middle class. They want there to be ONLY the middle class!
And we need to stop their indoctrination. Their indoctrination is infecting our schools... It's infecting our news... It's infecting our churches... It's infecting our government.. Why.. Did you know that they've even begun work on fluoridating ice cream? Children's ice cream. The liberal conspiracy... It's just almost too terrifying to even speak of. They constantly plot, to fool our children into believing their lies, so they can turn the women into man-hating feminists and the men into metrosexuals. THEY WANT TO TURN SOCIETY UPSIDE-DOWN!
That is why we need to stop this propaganda. So, I'm not sure if there'd need to be another committee, or if the commission listed above would do the job, but it probably would work out just fine, provided that they got plenty of funding. You need to make sure to pay the commission plenty of money, because you wouldn't want average people deciding what's "offensive" or not. Hell no. That'd cause absolute chaos. There needs to definitely be a nice, elite bureaucracy, where the Executive Branch and certain political groups have absolutely control over it. And lastly, no matter how this stuff is all set up, Colin Powell's son should run everything. If you disagree with that statement, then I'm going to call Attorney General Ashcroft right now and have you imprisoned without due process (which he now has the ability to do). Because you are UNAMERICAN.
