Thank you mods.
Not a complaint but a thank you for your hard work. I work in tech support and thus get alot of what you get here, and like here, very little thanks in return... and so I would like to open this thread to everyone so that they can say thank you for deleting of offending threads, the booting of offensive posters and trying your best to keep the forums a civil (if not peaceful) place.
Thanks guys.

Yup. They do loads of work, yet receive little in return. Thanks.
(on amore serious note, this could be counted as spam)
Hopefully, this will be counted as a "positive thread" and not spam.
Anyway, I will also like to thank the mods, especially Frisbeeteria, for his recent attempts at being courteous, diplomatic, and attempting to form consensus.
For example: http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=8557977&postcount=25
Moderation ain't Mount Olympus, y'know. You're willing to work with us, and we're willing to work with you. Let's see what you can do.
Again, a big thank-you to the mods.

If you don't like it leave. You won't be missed by many.
Edit: I had just finished looking through the Jamum thread. Well done Fris for not losing your temper.

If you want to build it, there can be. Until then like it or leave it. You don't have to play NS do you?

No. He is suggesting that if you do not care for this site, you are free to go elsewhere.
Frankly, childish behavior, flaming, and complaints that the rules are unfair don't impress the vast majority of the people who post and play here. One might get a bit more support and respect if one actually tried to follow the rules and get along with others.
I strongly suggest you leave off trying to provoke the moderators and go back to enjoying the game and the forums.

Yeah, the mods do a great job.
Thanks :)
Bulgers and Alien Born: Knock it off before this thread turns into a flamefest or something like that. Let's not give the mods more work then they already have.
Mods: From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank you for the great job you're doing for NS. While it may be unappreciating and sometimes insulting, I want you all to know that I think you're doing a great job! Thank you! Keep up the great work! :D

There was a NationStates without Moderators. It was a special, magical place, where everybody was happy and nice and civil. Oh, yes, the server was brutally raped by all the internet traffic, and you frequently septuple posted as a result, but people were courteous.
...and then, troublemakers started ruining it for everyone else. So, Moderators were appointed to deal with the troublemakers. We've had Mods ever since.
Very much oversimplified, but you get the idea.

Let's weigh.
Secure, minor service hiccups, mods to keep us safe.
Unsecure, constant hiccups more like giant burps, no mods.
Hmm...I'll trade freedom & headache for security & stress-free on this one.

Thank you for deleting Bulgers (if you did) for flaming me because of the fact that I betrayed Jamum OOC to the mods for bypassing a forumban. That must have been one of the most controversial bans ever.

Same here. And for his moderating on NSWiki. To him I must have been one of the most annoying n00bs ever to disgrace the wiki. Heck.

SalusaSecondus and [violet], the admins, would be the 'dominant mods', I think.

Not for anything... but this thread is really starting to edge on verbal fluffling... is it really needed on the mod forum anymore?

I'm a mod at another MB - I know how the job goes.
An occassional thank you thread is never harmfull as far as I'm concerned.
Thank you all Mods and Admins ( and Mr. Barry of course )

I as well would like to thank the moderators for teir hard work.
thank you for taking care of the griefer that ejected those nations from my region. Thank you for taking care of those nations that couldn't help what insult me...
I would like to not thank you for ejecting me from the UN. I understand however that you acted on what the security system said. I still think it's unfair, and that my nation will be scared forever because of it.

Yup, us old folks still remember that magical time.
But yeah, you mods do so much for the large player base that you have. You guys take so much flak for every little thing you do that angers someone, and yet you rarely get a thank you. Seeing as this thread is still open, allow me to say:
Thank you.

I'd have to toss in a thank you as well. Not just for all the hard work in keeping the forums clean and deleting griefers, but also for all that button clicking to resurrect my nations when they died.
Thanks!
