Moderators: Time to take a stand

Stop Banning Me Mods

I was recently banned again, having done no flaming, and said nothing offensive. I was banned while discussing Revolution. Not armed revolution, just revolution. It may not have helped that my nation was Die Capitalist Pig, but hey, my nation didn't do any flaming, I shouldn't be banned because someone was offended by my title. Fascist Emerica has a title that offends me, but I don't ask for him to be banned. Why would you ban me for discussing revolution, a term which means a flip in the authority of society, and why would you ban me for a little display of Anti-capitalism in my Nation name? I look forward to a response by the moderator team, so that I can understand where your position is on this issue.

Suck it up, big nuts. It's just an internet forum, and while I don't know the specifics of what you've done to draw the ire of the moderators, it would seem that your presence here is undesired. Pack up and move on.

We don't pay for this forum. The people who own Jolt pay for it. They make the rules.

If you don't like the rules, there's precious little you can do about it.

You may want to move it to moderation though. That is probably one of the first things they'll say to you.

Essentially I was banned after starting a thread on what Americans should do now that the country is so officially messed up. I pushed for revolution, and either that or my Nation title got me banned.

You know, for some reason, I get the feeling that's not all there is to the situation.

You're incorrect.

The mods ruled that people could not have names that said "die [group of people]"

NO "die dirty jews" no 'die capitalist pigs' no 'die commie scum' no 'die polish rats.'

Doesnt matter who the name targeted, so long as it said "die" and I assume coupled a slur or insult, it was ruled against the laws.

You're welcome to go to moderation and try to appeal it. If I remember correctly they first ruled in your favor then changed their minds and changed their ruling.

This thread is the original in moderation, read it and their explanation.

Well I distinctly remember the thread. I had used no offensive language, had done no flaming, suggested nothing illegal, but my nation title was Die Capitalist Pig. That may be cause for banning in their eyes, or the fact that the thread was biased. I was asking leftists what our solution to Americas' problems should be. That's the truth; I'm beyond personal attacks, I've been on this forum for almost a year with different nations. You knew me as Comandante originally.

You were deleted because of your name, nothing further. Get over it and make a new nation with a real name.

Oh! That's helpful! Thanks for the info. But wait, just to play devil's advocate, what if I made a nation that said "Suffer Horrible Pain Capitalist Meany-head"? Would that get banned?

Who can say, I advise you to bring a test case.

I actually know away around it . . . argue that he had meant 'die' as in the German word for 'the' - so then 'Die Capitalist Pig' would translate to 'The Capitalist Pig'

Someone brought that up in the original debate in moderation and I believe they said it would only work if the whole name was in german.

someone had a very good idea, "die juden schweinn" or something along those lines by which they meant "the jewish pig" or "pig prepared in a jewish manner"

Like lasagna bolognese, lasagna prepared in the matter of bologne

Pig may I suppose be against kosher (?) but none of the jews I know follow kosher and i'm sure one of them has discovered a nice way to eat ham, on a bagel or with matzo or something.

Actually, the ruling addressed that.

If you don't learn to post in Moderation, don't expect a moderator to respond.

Looks like this one has been adequately answered by Generalites, so I'm not going to bother.

For the record (and if I remember correctly), I was the Moderator who deleted "Die Capitalist Pig".

I was recently banned again, having done no flaming, and said nothing offensive. I was banned while discussing Revolution. Not armed revolution, just revolution. The title of "Fascist Emerica" is "Holy Aryan Reich". This does not fall under the "threatening" clause of the NationStates Terms and Conditions. "Die Capitalist Pig" does fall under the "threatening" clause.

Suck it up, big nuts.
Cease and desist with the personal attacks. If I see this from you again, you will get an official warning.

Oh! That's helpful! Thanks for the info. But wait, just to play devil's advocate, what if I made a nation that said "Suffer Horrible Pain Capitalist Meany-head"? Would that get banned?
First, national names that long aren't allowed by the game code.

However, even if names that long were allowed, it would fall under the "threatening" clause and would be deleted.

Now, as we already have a thread on this (which was linked to by "New Granada"), iLock.
