For one thing, it seems there's plenty of hostility going around on all sides, at a glance. For another thing, it's rather hard to see what is in and out of character, given the posts there. It seems mostly ooc with some ic mixed in here and there for whatever reasons. Regardless, it's clear enough that few if any people involved understand how to hold a conference, or what passes for a modicum of diplomacy.

No, that probably wasn't a nice thing to say. Neither were some of the things you and others said either. Like tends to beget like.

Yes, Ankmet as the thread starter (as per widely accepted ettiquite guidelines), has the right to invite and exclude who he wants.

Jamun has the right to not attend, and to offer whatever protests they like if they see this as a problem. Including requesting a more balanced representation, if indeed there is a problem that way. Which Ankmet of course has the right to refuse, being the host.

What the deeper problem seems to be is everyone's unwillingness to compromise, and being all too willing to increase hostilities. I'd suggest you all sit back a moment, take a deep breath, then try actually talking to one another with as much civility as you can muster.

I realize we're not all adults here, but that doesn't mean we need to act childish all the same. Best of luck on getting things sorted out.

Oh that note, at least they're posting...lol... *winks at Nathi*

In my opinion, Ankhmet, your thread cannot even be remotely considered a "roleplay". The amount of pointless and out of character bickering is frankly ridiculous, even for the "Internation Incidents" forum. Hell, the second post in the thread takes it off topic. My advice to you, Ankhmet, is to have an OOC thread prior to any RP you start, so that everyone knows what's going on and everyone knows their roles. It'll help to prevent this kind of nonsense.

It started out fine, but demands were made, I found thse unacceptable. And it got childish then. Oh, but I DO enjoy bickering....

Jamum had agreed to join in, but all the same I was being an asshat. I may have been a little ( ;) ) guilty of flaming, so I kinda want to withdraw this.

It wasn't a roleplay. It was the organisational thread.

I would like to point out that I do actually still hold quite some dislike for roleplaying. I started this to see if I could like it. And it appears I can't.

When I started, I considered RP to be the lowest form of entertainment, and my opinion of it has improved, but not all that much.

That is my reason for the poor quality of my threads. So quit verbally spanking me!

My fault then. It doesn't say it's an organizational thread in either the title or the first post. The fact that it is in a IC forum, and the fact that you didn't specify otherwise led me to believe it was intended to be a RP thread.

In reality, your ignorance towards writing, or lack thereof, and your taste in entertainment, or lack thereof, are really irrelevant to what happened or what didn't happen in that mess of a thread of your's.

If it is I'm sure they'll take care of it. I don't think I did anything wrong...but if others think otherwise I'll defend myself. Not going to waste the time until then.

I already told both of you (Ankhmet and Jamum) to knock it off in that thread. I hope you realize that isn't just friendly advice.

SB isn't flaming, he's pointing out the truth. The thread wasn't a roleplay, and Ankhmet's opinions concerning writing and roleplay really are irrelevant.

Ah... thank you for the clarification... I was just wondering on the way he commented on Ankhmet's writing style... just seemed a bit harsh...

*knows he can often be much worse IRL*

No offence ment SB... just was curious
