Come on....

I was given a warning for calling Roach-busters, who claims to like the first ammendment, a "hypocritical jerk", for banning me from Earth RB in my new nation, Caleta. As Kahta I participated there when he took over, and he did not seem to have a problem with that. He at first, had told me that I could take over Kahta's claims in his earth, then changed his mind

If calling someone a "hypocritical jerk" is flaming, surely the rules are being selectively enforced, since Cog here, said that it is not flaming.

Also, in his post, he outlines that sigs that are flamebaiting or trolling, can be changed. Axis Nova (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/member.php?u=116266) in this case, is trolling against Kahta, me, my ex-nation.

I will quote him: It is not acceptable for anyone to call anyone else an 'idiot'. However, insults like 'idiot', 'moron', and 'jerk' are considered mild enough that only an informal statement from a Moderator (like "Knock it off" or "Cease and desist") is required. An official warning is not given for mild insults like these unless it develops into a pattern of behavior by that player (which needn't be directed at one individual repeatedly to get an official warning; it might be once each at many different individuals on different occasions).

The explenation is in the quite. It's a pattern of behaviour. As in, this may have been an individual instance, however, the history of Kahta (your parent nation) is marked with dozens of flames and instances of trolling. So, a warning was at hand.

That has been ruled on and dismissed. Don't bring it up again.

The Macabees is correct. There are reasons why we don't mark specific words or concepts as forbidden, as such hard and fast rules can easily be worked around by rules-lawyering players.

Max set up the Moderation staff to use their judgment, rather than a set of rules set in stone. You continue to demand rules and clarifications that don't and won't exist, because every case is different, and such decisions require an element of judgment from somebody trusted by the site owner.

If you want Caelta to follow Kahta into oblivion, then continue to follow the exact pattern of behavior that got Kahta deleted. That is to say, a consistent pattern of racial trolling, flamebaiting, and flaming. If on the other hand, you wish to continue to play NationStates with your other nations, then you must adjust your posting patterns to the rules and guidelines of this site.

You know what is permitted and not permitted. Two to five conversations per week with moderators should have made that clear by now. If you're looking for a legal way to continue your racial trolling, flamebaiting, and flaming; I can assure you that you will continue to leave here disappointed.

Ok, but calling someone a jerk does not warrant a warning, just a verbal warning. I see this as a vendetta against me. Just for you to know, I am planning on avoiding General, to avoid any "problems" that might occur.

Just as both The Macabees and Fris stated, it's all about the past history of what you've done. It's a case-by-case issue of if the player tends to post on the dangerous side of things (i.e. borderline flaming/trolling/flamebaiting), whereas someone with no such history is given a verbal warning.

Good idea. General probably isn't the best place for you.
