Am I a Native?

I've got a question about being a native, in relation to the rule about expelling and banning natives in an invasion.

When my region started to get invaded, I created a new nation to be my only UN member, to endorse the rightful UN Delegate. That has since been banned, and up to now, he hasn't received the password to the region - when I try to move my puppet to the region, I get a message saying I've been banned.

Is my puppet nation considered a native, since the real-life player behind the computer is, or is that considered non-native? Would that make my puppet an invader?

For the good timeline: we got invaded, I created my puppet, moved to the region, and now got expelled for the second time.

Precident: the first time I got expelled the Invading Delegate sent me the password.

from what i know....nativity goes with the nation, not the player..

*sigh*

Incorrect. Your main nation: The native, was sent the password.

Granted, your puppet nation, that came into the region after the invasion wasn't. That's because It wasn't a native.

Yes, your puppet nation was left on the ban list. Because as far as I know It's a ''third party'' etc.

i think thats back words, cause i remember the mods saying that the mass ejection of puppets only counted as ejecting one native, so it seems to me the player is the native not the nations

Natives typically refer to nations that were in the region before the invasion started, although opinions only what counts as a native can vary. So by my reckoning, your original nation(s?) there are natives, but the UN puppet is not.

As I recall from a long LONG time ago, it was ruled that for a nation to be considered native, it had to reside in the region at the time of invasion.

Shouldnt you still be getting the password sent to your native nation? And couldnt this nation be your UN nation for the purposes of reclaiming your invaded region?

This is a tricky one, I'll discuss it with the others and get back to you.
For the moment though, I'm going to go with Neut and say that because it was a nation created after the invasion, it can't be considered a native nation.
In the mean time, it would probably be best to move your UN membership to your main nation. That one can't be banned.

My 'real' nation wasn't expelled, only my puppet, and the ban has since been lifted. (It wasn't even a member of the UN at the time, so this was either a retributive banning, or pre-emptive.)

And I DID recieve the password at my 'real' nation - only quite some time AFTER the password was put in place.

I've asked somewhere just how long is acceptable to get the word out about the new password. Given the time involved in getting the passwords out, and the population of the Western Europe region, either there was a mass expulsion, or the Invader Delegate didn't inform people in a timely manner.

I beg to disagree. Absinthe and Opium got the password out as soon as possible and, by her timing, in just over one hour to over 100 nations. There are practicalities involved, including trying to stay clear of the anti spamming protection that NS affords us all. That's as quick as possible really.

For what-ever it is worth, I am sure Myrth is correct.

That can't be right I. Vengeance; there are only a little more than 100 nations in Western Europe at a time, and I'm pretty sure I would notice if everyone got ejected.
Hey Illuve, see that sigh up there? It's working. :D

It *does* take time to telegram every single nation in a region with a 100 plus nations though, think about it. With the time limit between tg's in the prevention of spam cases, that makes it even longer!
