That title is a bit flamebaitish.

#58 seems fine. The other three are spam, to be sure, but that thread has been given such a wide berth for spamming that I doubt that the moderators will do anything until it gets out of control again.

About to get baked, but unable to find a lighter (http://img194.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img194&image=dsc002010kb.jpg)

Its a picture of himself with an unlit joint in his mouth. Note the title. Possesion of marijuana is a crime, meaning that its illegal, since he lives in the US. Also, this doesn't fit into keeping NS a safe place for 12 yearolds in a classroom.

Mods have previously upheld this rule.

I was under the impression that LP comes from Holland, where smoking marijuana is not a crime. And there is no clear indication in the picture that he is smoking weed rather than tobacco.

I can see a legitimate complaint about the third link, but the first two and the fourth? Kahta, really, you're not the police of General. Reporting genuine rulebreaking, sure, ok, fine. But reporting every post in General because someone, somewhere, could possibly conceive of a situation in which the post might be considered offensive just to clutter up Moderation and try to get back at the mods is juvenile.

There is no proof that he smoking marijuana. He could be smoking loose tobacco. Regardless, this site is not run under US law.

Do you get "baked" from tobacco?

He lives in Holland. It's perfectly legal. At any rate, you've got nothing but circumstancial evidence for him smoking marijuana. There's nothing the law could do even if he was in the United States.

I should also point out that you can in fact get a mild high from smoking loose tobacco. You have to smoke a hell of a lot, but it is possible.

I concede that most people will understand that he is referring to marijuana. However, I don't think there is any rule against drug references on the forum. I checked the stickies and found no mention of it.

Jeez' Katha. It's amusing to read, but still. Please stop policing the forums! I'm asking you politely. Please?

Kahta... none of those are particularly offtopic. At least they're referring to pictures or actions in the thread.

And that thread is monitored for spam. Maybe it's not immediately taken out post by post, but it's had *several* housecleanings by Myrth. You don't need to worry so much about it.

Can I just butt in to point out that if the hypothetical 12 year old knew what " baked " meant, in that context, then the entire " OMFG DON'T EXPOSE THEM TO A PICTURE OF WHAT MAY OR MAY NOT BE WEED " argument kind of dies a quiet death, because its pretty clear the kid is more world-wise then your afraid of them ever being at that age.

Just a little something to think about.

And NO, U.S. LAW DOES NOT HAVE TWO STATUTES TO RUB TOGETHER HERE.

Errr, I mean, if your on this site as a common user, it is your duty to ensure you don't violate the laws where you are in relation to what you or those in your care come into contact with when surfing the net. I think. Of course, if this was based in the U.S. then maybe the " OMFG BEND OVER TO U.S. LAW " arguments might for once have at least a leg to stand on. But, that is not the case.

Actually... depending on how strictly you define "baked", normal tobacco can indeed "bake" a person, especially if they haven't had one in awhile (what I call "First Cigarette Syndrome"). The nicotine decreases the oxygen supply in the blood and can cause rather severe lightheadedness, especially if you're hungry.

THANK YOU! I said that, but no one seemed to listen. I quite frequently get "baked" while smoking my pipes, all perfectly legally.

Heh. Can also happen when jumping potency. Such as being used to "Lights" and then bumming an unfiltered.

Yaaaaaaaaa!

Personally I regularly get baked off potatoes...but then again the only things I've ever smoked are kippers and bacon.

As to my post, yes it is somewhat pointless. Was it the most pointless post in the thread? No. Was it particularly offensive? No. In fact, despite it's shortness of legnth, I feel that I did have something valuble to contribute to the thread. To quoteth Polonius "Though this be spamness, there be methord in't".

Seriously Kahta, I know that you have a personal dispute with me, but how about we settle it with an agreement of mutral disrespect hmm?
