I try to start a serious discussion, about what I'm planning to do with my life, and this fool spams it. Very frustratingI don't think that that is spam. I think it could be flame-bait. This "fool" is trying to say, "I don't care what your plan is." He/she is sarcastically saying "would you like a big prize for your plan?"
Well, regardless, I thought moreso that it was spam.

it seems that my detractors are crawling out of the woodwork...

It's a harmless bit of non-malicious fluff. You already stated that you knew folks would mock you or what not, so it would seem you publicly gave license for folks to pester you. Let it go, man. Seriously. That's just sad. If you're going to post in General, you know well enough that sort of thing will creep into threads. Half the threads out there are nothing more than this sort of harmless silliness. Spam? Possibly. But is it really enough for you to spam Moderation with the complaint? I've had worse tangents in IC threads that we've never gone crying to the mods over.
Unless you're trying to tell us that for some reason you hate cookies and see them as an instrument of your downfall? (delivered tongue in cheek.)

These nouns mean humane and kind, sympathetic, or forgiving treatment of or disposition toward others. Mercy is compassionate forbearance: “We hand folks over to God's mercy, and show none ourselves” (George Eliot). Leniency and lenity imply mildness, gentleness, and often a tendency to reduce punishment: “When you have gone too far to recede, do not sue [appeal] to me for leniency” (Charles Dickens). “His Majesty gave many marks of his great lenity, often... endeavoring to extenuate your crimes” (Jonathan Swift). Clemency is mercy shown by someone with judicial authority: The judge believed in clemency for youthful offenders. Charity is goodwill and benevolence in judging others: “But how shall we expect charity towards others, when we are uncharitable to ourselves?” (Thomas Browne).
Some helpful words and thoughts, in case you may not have been aware or were perhaps confused as to what they meant. How they can apply to the forums and our behaviour on them I think, would be obvious.

No, I meant mock as in say: "YOU'RE A NAZI, YOU'RE RACIST, YOU'RE A REDNECK BACKWATER SOUTHERN INBRED HICK!!!!!!!!! NONE OF YOUR PLANS WILL COME TRUE. EVER. TAKE THAT YOU RACIST!!!"
I don't want my thread being clogged up by people that go to college for the wrong reasons.
Oh yeah, for the record, I am very tolerant of other ideas and people, but not in the internet, I consider this the one place where I can share my ideas and views without being ostracized or punished for them.

Grow some skin.
Also, name-calling hardly helps your position.

Weeeeeeeeeeeell...
and this fool spams it.

College (4 year colleges) these days is being swamped with people that shouldn't be there for a variety of reasons, ranging from the losers that go there to party and pick up girls, to people that simply are not smart enough (<130 IQ), to people that are only there because of affirmative action.
One might, in fact, say the thread was trolling as a result of that last one.

and this fool spams it. <-- that would be name-calling.
In addition, who are you to say what is and is not a 'right' reason to go to college?
In any case, no, you have not illustrated yourself to be tolerant as of yet on this site. In addition, you are posting in General. This is what is known as an 'Open Season' sort of forum. So long as they are not breaking the rules, the mods are on record allowing harmless bits.
If you want a place you can post to your heart's content about whatever you want and not have people do anything but agree with you, create your own forum. It isn't hard. It costs nothing. You can control all content and who is and isn't allowed to post, or even sign up for it.
This is NOT the place you're looking for.
EDIT: And I see GMC has already beaten me, and with more examples. *sheepish grin* Go fig.
sometimes the moderation forum is the best entertainment :)
and yowza one of the requirements for mod must be a blistering wit and lightning -fast reactions. i've seen so many pansies pwned in this forum

That's going straight into the best quotes thread. You say that you're usually tolerant, however that is not the case on the internet. Still, you expect everyone else to be tolerant and not "ostracize or punish" you.

Bolding and underlining mine.
Request for Moderation Wouldn't that ENTIRE thread that Kahta references be "flamebait"???
