Who edited my sig?

Alright, which mod changed my sig? I've had that up for several months and have had no problems with it. Even mods who have talked to me have never brought up the subject of me having an inappropriate sig. So could you please put it back to the way it was?

Just for the rest of us to understand a little better...what exactly was it?

I don't have an exact copy of it but it was basically a list of things I learned from hentai. It's been up for most of the time I've had this account and until now none of the mods have done anything about it. Which surprised me when I found that it had been tinkered with.

Well...if a mod says no then it's no. Don't plan on getting it back.
There are young kids on this site after all.

Well if they didn't do anything about it for the past seven or eight months then why change it now?

The moderators can't see everything when it is initially changed, especially your signature. Having to keep an eye on thousands upon thousands of signatures is definitely hard to do, though, just because they didn't see it immediately doesn't mean that it isn't against the rules.

For the record, I am not the Moderator who handled this case. However, this doesn't matter, really; we are hardly about to hand out names so that you can rail against someone personally.
However long you have had your signature is immaterial. We Moderators are not omniscient, and sometimes we miss things. It's identical to bad nation names, in fact; a nation may have been around for over a year, but if it has a bad name and we spot it, it's gone.
The fact that we did not spot it and change it the moment you put it in your signature simply means that we cannot be everywhere.
All that's happened to you is that your signature was altered. You have not been warned for it. Please don't get too worked up over something so minor.

I've had signatures turned off from the moment it's been an option. It's quite possible that other mods have the option checked as well. I might have seen all 900+ of your posts and never noticed it, but that's irrelevant. As Tsaraine said, we deal with it when we see it.
When another mod noticed your sig and said, "Can someone edit Crabcake Baba Ganoush's signature? It's quite... graphic," I checked it out. Sure enough, it failed the obscenity test. Given that it was a list of "Things I learned from Hentai", you shouldn't be surprised.
So could you please put it back to the way it was?No.

Yeah but I talked to other mods they didn't seem to care. I admit that it wasn't about the signature itself but I would have thought that at some point they would have noticed. Yet nobody has brought it up and nobody ever asked me to at least change it first to be more appropriate. I just found it gone. Some things that may have been questionable I could have edited out if I was asked. Most of it I dont think was bad at all so maybe if I could just take out the parts that were questionable I could live with that.

:p personally i find this hilarious, although the new sig's sarcasm is rubbing it in a little much...
Sorry for this but this has been eating away at me for the past five minutes and I just have to ask; what is Hentai?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hentai
Hentai (変態) is a Japanese word used outside of Japan, mostly in western countries and several English-speaking countries, to refer to Japanese animation ("H anime"), comic-book-style magazines ("H manga"), and computer games ("bishōjo games", hentai games) with explicit sexual or pornographic artwork (see Japanese pornography).
What is worse?
Having a sig thats too long, or posting links to porn?
What should got an official warning?
Again, what is worse: Having a link to a sermon, or posting a link to porn?
What should be deleteable: posting a link to porn, or posting a link to a sermon?

Ah, I now see how that could get graphic.. thanx!

A player with an incredibly offensive history of flaming, rulebreaking, and deleted nations, or a player who used "clitoris" a bit too vividly in a sig?
BTW, there were no links to porn. Do you get all your exercise jumping to conclusions?

Bringing up VE again, eh? You need to get over the fact that he's been banned from NS. There was a legitimate reason for him being banned, seeing as he ignored a moderator ruling and posted the link in his signature anyways, while this person didn't receive a warning before posting it in his sig. VE went around the moderator ruling, making his punishment his full responsibility. He was lucky that the moderators let him stay on NS for as long as he did, with all of the warnings that he received.
I would hardly call the link in VE's signature a 'sermon'...

It's adult anime. And most of the things in my sig weren't actually sexually graphic. Maybe there were one or two things that could have been edited out and I would have preferred that over losing the entire thing.
Like these things in the list I think could have been left in:
Trust not the drink given by a ditz
Open wound + Strange chemicals = sex change
Never put on cured items, especially underwear
I wish I could remember the entire list but I think that there were other acceptable ones. But I do know that there was one that was more questionable than the others. That I can probably do without but I think that most of the other ones were OK.

I think that one might have been the one that got it removed :(

I don't recall him ever flaiming or breaking any rules.
Those deletions, you moderators admitted, were mistakes.

The link was to a downloadable file. Not the website itself. I don't see how godhatesamerica.com is any different from stormfront.
