Request Puppet ID to end spamming/greifing

Alright, long story short we've got a trouble-maker spamming the boards here with copy/paste threads from an off-site board that is 'suposedly' secure.

Examples:
http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=400201
http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?p=8214612&

Not only is it anoying, and spam, but the jerk's activities are also creating a degree of OOC conflict between players in addition to suspicion over who the leak it.

So, I'm requesting that you ID his other puppets so we can confirm if it's a known member or not, and hopfully put an end to this.

Yup, same poster on both. I'm not going to reveal who it is, which should be no surprize. I can't say if they're an ESUS member because, well... until this started I hadn't heard of ESUS and I don't know who your members are.

Beyond locking the spam on our forums, no further action is going to be taken by us. This is an internal ESUS problem, not a NationStates one.

Well, I'd argue that it's a matter of NS' player-base; the source material was obtained off-site, but both the malicious actions and the RPer community reside primarily on the NS boards.

I'm not so much concerned over the 'security leak' myself - it's all ooc anyway - but it causes friction amoungst the player community, and is undeniably designed to cause such. That one would be allowed to escape so cleanly after such underhanded and malicious actions ... irks me.

Could you atleast see if it was Blademasters? He's an ex-member who left after a falling out with another member; if it's not him, it would be nice to clear his name.

IP information is private and we do not reveal it.

Oh no; I never wanted the IPs. Just see if Blademasters wasn't responsible, and maybe a list of the spammer's puppets so we can identify their main account(s), and thus deliver the proper ignores and peer scorn.

Please note the additional request(ie the vindication of Blademasters)

Please also note the additional concerns as to the player community's inability to self-regulate without mod assistance in this case.

And I would like to know why you wouldn't be willing to make a list of the puppets belonging to this guy avalible, anyway, given the circumstances. You're not handing out IP information, so it's not like you'd be violating his privacy or anything of that ilk.

It could also be argued that this individual violated the bit in the TaC (http://www.nationstates.net/pages/legal.html) regaurding the posting of malicious content.

The puppets have been deleted, the threads locked, and the puppet master warned. That's all you're getting.

We do not give that sort of information away to players.
