He's 75 years old, and has been pissing people off since the 80s. Shouldn't he have been shot dead by now? I'm usually not a "violent" person, but this is one person I could turn a .44 on.
(Personally I hope he beat the living shit out of a few of those guys).
The thread itself is a massive flame and bait against any members of the Westboro Baptist Church or those who listen to and enjoy the sermons, to any Baptists, and Calvinists, that happen to be on this site.
Malicious statements about wanting to kill people, and naming them, probably, if I'm not mistaken, violate the TOS for this site.

I... think... although I'm not sure, that the reason the mods aren't dealing with this, is because there is no proof that this Minister they're talking about is a NationStates player. He is a public figure, and as such is probably susceptible to many death threats.
For example, if I said:
Brad Pitt's a moron, let's go bomb him
Or some such stupidity (I really don't care about Pitt, he was the first movie star I could think of that wasn't in politics), the mods might not like it, but I don't think they would do anything either.
But, if I said:
VoteEarly is such a moron, let's track his IP and hunt him down
Then I'd probably get banned from the forum and possibly deleted. Obviously you are a player of NS, and are likely to see that message and actually care, as you aren't likely to get them too often.
Disclaimer 1: I have nothing against you, Vote Early, or Brad Pitt, and would never say either of those things above, or any variation thereof. They are for example purposes only, and should not be interpreted as actual threats.
Disclaimer 2: I am not a mod, and as such that is not an official ruling, and may not even be correct. It is a temporary explanation from an experienced player that may help you out.

Actually, people have been deleted for making death threats to public figures before, if I remember correctly.

I wasn't really sure. I read some cases where they were, maybe because they were particularly violent, but I've also seen some cases where they weren't.

Whatever the case, Pastor Phelps has already been notified as to the threat made against him, so he will pursue it to the FBI if he deems it necessary (he's done this before)

Oh fun. I think I'll leave now before I get stuck on the "no-fly" list.

"Why hasn't he been killed?" != "I'm going to kill him."
"I hope someone beats him up." != "I'm gonna beat him up."
But, I will grant you that's it's flamebaiting and/or trolling, so I'll lock it.

*sigh* VoteEarly, this thread was pointing out Phelp's obvious inability to grasp the concept of American society outside of his two-foot bubble he likes to think of as every one. The author of the thread said he would like to kill Phelps, not he would kill Phelps. There is a difference.
