Right. I might be told that I'm whining for something "that has been going on for weeks" as for when I protested another ruling, but well, I have to, sorry. Grippsholm IV is impersonating me. Is he going to get deleted? Pope Hope's impersonators got deleted. Mine should as well.

As for the bit of your post I painted in red, if they have done this on a C.H.Q.R.M.B. any-where I suggest you go straight to the Getting Help Page, report the matter, and tick the " copy regional message board info " option should that event still be logged on the R.M.B. in question. I'm not sure if similar name and same flag qualify as insta-change / DEAT from memory of see-ing this happen before.

Of course, if they've telegrammed any-one trying to impersonate you, don't forget to tell them ( Those who might have gotten such a telegram ) to keep the teles, that should be clear cut proof for you to present to Moderation to clear this up.

Actually, the economy, amoung other things, calculator here (http://www.sunsetrpg.com/economystatistics.php) says its only been around for seven days. Still early days yet, really.

As I said previously, PH IX was going around and immediately impersonating Pope Hope herself.

Tuesday Hieghts, when impersonating me, took longer to actually do it and cause trouble; hence, that nation wasn't deleted until it actively began impersonating me.

So Grippsholm IV will be allowed to freely strut around and get telegrams incoming that are meant to be addressed by me? That is kinda outrageous and very low handed, how can that be tolerated? It's a clear attempt to confuse people into believing that Grippsholm IV is a puppet of mine.

Is there something stopping you from alerting anyone you play with that any and all telegrams etc ought to be sent to your main nation and not your puppets, so as to avoid any misinformation and confusion?

I guess I don't see the point in similarly-named puppets to begin with. If you don't have them, there shouldn't be any problem with someone adding a number to the end of their name, regardless of the fact that it's rather rude to rip off someone's nation like that anyways.

Having folks parody or play with your nation name doesn't have to always be malicious, after all. There's several parody nations that other people have done of my nation out there currently, and they've all been, so far as I can tell, in good humor. I don't have a problem with it.

Point is, until something can be done, or until enough proof exists that he is deliberately going out of his way to disrupt your play and misrepresent past the name alone, take actions to prevent mistakes happening rather than just complaining about it.

There's several parody nations that other people have done of my nation out there currently, and they've all been, so far as I can tell, in good humor.

One of my friends created a nation called, "The Real Euroslavia" and its motto is, "We're the real Euroslavia, not the other one". It's all in good humor, but when they start impersonating you and messing with your reputation, then its time to report it.

There was also that impersonator, "Elf Lady Nathiciel" or something long those lines, as well as impersonations of Scolopendra and I believe Treznor. I suppose its always good to know that people want to be like you. :p

It's serious business. If someone is out to defame you by copying your nation's name, motto and flag and such, it can be a real hassle.

Because that's different; that's impersonating a moderator, which is a DoS offense. Creating a look-a-like nation isn't a DoS offense.

My region is the "Union of Independent States" which was founded in July 2003. There is also a region called the "Union of Independant States" which was founded much later. Would it be a region impersonator?

It is a pretty generic name, so I really wouldn't consider it an impersonating region, that is, unless you have evidence of it.

I don't really care about their "impersonation." They are a small region and have done nothing other than the name. I was just wondering.

Player impersonation is a 'specific intent' crime. Simply having a similar name can be a fluke, and if they don't actively attempt to impersonate the player, we're not going to act.

Impersonating a Moderator (or Admin) is a 'general intent' crime. Simply making a similarly sounding name is enough for the nation to be deleted.

I think that as long as it's just the name and he/she doesn't do anything mod-like, it should probably be OK.
