This thread is stolen from a password protected ESUS boards by seomeone "hacking" into them, and being posted with the deliberate intention to cause arguement.
The thread should be deleted.

Are you sure this thing is not posted (or given to the poster) by some of the members of your board. Protect your forums since the mods don't have control over them and can't stay if this "hacking" or not.
My personal opininon: don't worry, not many people have the time and the patience to read such a long thread...
I assure my former "friends" that all their secrets will be revealed upon Nationstates
Once again, are you sure this guy "hacked" your forum and not you (or someone else) gave him the pasword?

By formoer friends, i am very much inclined otward believing it was not an ESUS member. And mention of a possible attack against jordaxia (a fellow ESUS member) practically rules out the possibility.
It was most likely US, who is pissy that nothing is going his way.
Or TFU who is pissy that no-one likes him cos he's such an insensitive ass all the time.
Or maybe it was one of our own members, who can tell. No-one has left angry recently, and certainly no-one that has left recently would be the type to do this as they were all mature people.
And i must stress that the boards have a rigorous application tests, and members must be verified and passwords and so on, before the general boards, and indeed 90% of the boards can be viewed.
And mostly. The thread is not appropriate for NS, it has nothing to do with anythig. It is just a rediculous and immature attempt to cuase trouble and should be removed before it achieves its goal.

I don't think there's anything the mods can do; non-NS forums are not policed by them.

Truth, your response here doesn't seem the wisest, all things considering, when trying to claim 'flaming or flamebaiting' against someone else while tossing around things like:
It was most likely US, who is pissy that nothing is going his way.

It's an offsite forum. Not sure the NS mods have any authority there. It's done, it's out, it's over. I would suggest if you have doubts that you do some checking on your boards there. Aren't there logs to show who's been accessing what, or at the very least, who's been logged on?
I don't see any 'trouble' being started other than within your own ranks. It's ooc info regardless, and while we may be able to chuckle at it ooc'ly, there have been no ic actions to well, react to. Good luck on better policing your members, and your board - this has to be rather embarrassing on one level or other, and I do feel for you on account.

I request that the mods close this thread. It does seem that The Emperor Fenix is attempting to flame bait me, and in moderation as well!

Can we retrieve the IP adress of 'Untimely Revenge' to match against our IP logs?

Exchanging or posting IP information on the NS Forums is not allowed.

TG than? This is kind of important, since it involves the blatent hacking of a website.

Sharing IPs between players and mods are not allowed, I think

If you're asking us to release IP information of a NationStates player, no. Registrants here have an expectation of privacy, and we will always respect that.
If you're asking if you can compare IP addresses with people who run offsite forums, we don't regulate that. Don't do it here.

The boards were not hacked. The user is an ex-member. We don't need IP logs to know who it was.

I take offense to that sir, you yourself know that of all people you are one of the people most likely to do something like this. Plus, i think you should clear up your own house first.
Although i do think that this thread serves no puropse now, its clear you're not going to lock or delete anything, and therefore well, this discussion is piontless, and is wasting space.

Two mods (one from YuT, IIRC) posted in the topic, and I believe I addressed the IP request. I agree that there doesn't seem to be much else to be said.
