I have seen similar threads like these before, but really, I am not the person in question, and its just a relay.

Today I entered my regions forum and recived a PM from a regional member.

Could you please send me Max Barry's e-mail adress? I've been IP Banned from NationStates for no reason at all that I can tell. Or could you post a topic in the Moderation forum asking them for the reason why this happened?

The nation in question is http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/58289/page=display_nation/nation=universeverse

Frankly, I don't know if he is talking about a Forum ban on the Jolt or a Perma bann on Nationstates overall. His nation is still alive and it was 22 hours since the last log in. He is even still UN.

Max refers game questions to the site admins, [violet] and SalusaSecondus. The Admin email is widely posted and available (admin@nationstates.net), but due to the huge volume and limited time, salusa@nationstates.net is a better choice. I don't really see any point to such an appeal until the issue is clearer.

As to whether UNIverseVERSE has been forumbanned, I leave to the moderator who may have acted. The nation clearly exists, so it's either forumban or some technical issue on UNIverseVERSE's end.

This is the nation in question. I'm still not sure what it was, because I was getting a message that I had been IP banned when I tried to access the main site, but could access the forums. However, now I am able to access them both, after a game update. But maybe this is a matter for technical.

If it was a genuine IP ban I am not trying to evade it.

Yes, we had implemented new measures to block users from the site, and your unusual internet configuration landed you in the net.

If you wouldn't mind emailing me (salusa@nationstates.net) with how you connect to the web (it appears that you may be using a proxy) I'd appreciate it so that I can better fine tune a few of our security settings (and avoid innocent users).
