Since Cog asked us to move it...

I have noticed the claims that it is exploiting women. My question: Who cares? Your average child has probably seen pictures similar to those for years.

As for the encouragement of degradation: How is it degrading to admire a body because of its beauty? If you answer about it being a case of looking at someone as a sex object, I must call hypocrisy. Unless you have never in your life looked at someone and thought of them in how sexy they are, you have no room to speak. If you have, you're probably deluding yourself and selectively editting your memory.

Humans look at each other as sex objects. It happens, it's natural, and the little children you're trying to protect from it will probably be doing it (if they haven't already) very soon anyway. You want to deal with it, try teaching the kids that, while they may do so to pictures they see or people they have no plans of approaching, when actually dealing with people they have to remember that those others are far more than just something to be looked at and drooled over. Otherwise, you're just doing them a disservice.

And in this case, let them have their fun. Most of the pictures posted are off people they have no chance of ever meeting and those people knew fully well they would be drooled over when they consented to those pictures.

That, in itself really doesn't work as an argument: an average child in other societies will have seen slaves bought and sold, eaten meat or even had sex with an adult. At best you are saying 'it might be wrong, but the rot has already set in'.
