Request for Split

Greatest Mods Ever-- :D

Could you please split out and lock all the posts in the 'Nicest NS Guy' thread between the original post and #160? The voting has commenced and I'd like it to start fresh; it would be much easier that way.

Also, could I get the title to read "Nicest NS Guy (Time to Vote)" so that people will actually participate :)

Much thanks!

Mmmm.... It'd be easier to start a new topic for voting and lock the nominations topic. Would you like to do that, instead?

Ah, I see, the voting has started already. In that case, make a new voting thread and I'll move the relevant posts over.

Okay, it took a little mucking around when I realized that merged threads are resorted chronologically, but it's done.

Have fun, and remind everyone not to take it too seriously. It's a lighthearted thread and I'd hate to have to take Mod action because someone took it too serously.

Soooooo, I didn't mean for it to get like this? Heh.....

If you at anytime feel it has gone "too far" past the point of having a bit of fun (I think it is teetering on the edge now) then feel free to lock it, or delete it, heh.

And again, thank you for all your help.

Could I request another split, so its easier for Maciej (Sdaeriji) to count posts?

While this is here, can I ask how many TGs we can have in our telegram boxes at once?

I believe it's 15, but in-game things like notifications of compliance from the UN don't count.

15. However, if you have 15 telegrams already and you are sent a "NationStates Moderators" telegram by a Game Moderator, then this limit will be exceeded.

I don't think the mortals can use Jolt's PM system. Good thing too, seeing as they'd make more work for us ;)

This be what I see. No Private Message for us mere non-moderators.

I'll just have to make a text file and save peoples votes into it so my box doesn't get too crowded. Hopefully no more than 15 people message me during times when I'm away from my computer.

Myrth is being mean... :p

...unfortunately, now that I think about it for a moment, I have to concur with his opinion. All of the problems that we currently have with NationStates telegrams would also occur with Jolt PMs. Furthermore, anyone with PM privilidges on the Jolt system can PM anybody else on the system with PM privilidges (unless the recipient has set himself/herself to autoblock anyone not on their Buddy list). This unfortunately means that not only would we have to deal with potential abusive PMs among NationStates players, we would also have to deal with abusive PMs between NationStates players and Jolt regular members.

This would, consequently, take our present workload regarding abusive messages and amplify it.

Oh I know, I don't expect you all to allow us "mortals" to have something so powerful as *gasp* dare I say it......Jolt PMs! :)

And again thank you for all your help, you did an excellent job not only helping me get the voting thread started and the old one "iLocked", but calming down and getting those that were seemingly upset under control.

Dziekuje bardzo! :D

Final request! And then you can wash your hands of this thread :).

Being that this is the final round could I have one of you amazing mods change the title to "Nicest NS Guy (Final Round)" so that people know its the last time they have to vote?

It would be greatly appreciated!
