So let me guess, words like 'pleasure' and 'orgasm' are verboten? [Merged thread]

I wondered where my poll ended up - in 'spam'?
Thanks a LOT.

Well I don't think the word 'pleasure' is 'verboten'.

If you wish to dispute a Moderator's ruling, please provide a link to the thread in question, and describe what, exactly, has occurred.
Because right now I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about, and your attitude does not dispose me towards being a happy shiny fuzzy sunny bunny of joy.

Seven posts, two with more than one sentence, both of those two sentences...

Well, it was rather late when I finally discovered what became of the thread/poll I made on General, and decided I needed sleep more than mod politics.
http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=396145
I had a thought. I made a thread. I went to great lengths to ensure I used appropriate language, etc. and due to the nature of the question, decided to make the poll non-public. I was heartened by the positive response, and lack of flames. I was particularly interested to see that the written responses indicated an overwhelming generosity of spirit where one's partners are concerned.
After just a few minutes, poof! Gone. No explanation. No indication of what had happened. I looked up one of the people who posted on the thread, and was able to access all the posts they'd made on NS, including their three-letter post they'd made on my thread...curious, I clicked on the link to the thread that I found there, and voila! There was my thread/poll, consigned to the 'Spam' trash-heap.
I don't know who pulled the plug, and there may have only been seven posts, but those responses came in fairly quickly. I think there was a genuine interest on the part of the other NSers in General to contribute to the thread, and to see the results of the poll, which had more than seven votes, btw.
And Tsaraine, I think you might be reading too much into my protestations. I couldn't, after all, provide a link to what had happened at the time, as I had no idea what had happened, or where my thread was - and by the time I'd pieced it together, I was knackered, Spent. Beat. In need of more than a few Z's.
As disinclined as you may be to help given your take on my disposition, I'll ask for a ruling nonetheless, and ask to have my poll/thread reinstated to the General where it was intended to be.

Here, I'm reposting what I added to the end of the other other thread here in moderation:

I do not see how it's worse than the threads that start off with inflammatory remarks that border on trolling. This doesn't look like spam at all.

Thank you for your support, Kryozerkia. I'm hoping for a ruling soon.
You already have a thread on this subject, and you've made this same post in it. Why do we need this post in a second thread?
Dobbs Town

I've yet to hear from any mods on the subject, and I'm hoping to have this cleared up before I have to leave. The thought occurred that perhaps the last post I made on the original thread asking for my poll/thread to be reinstated might be overlooked, so I've made this thread in the hopes of resolving this issue quickly.

Posting the same thread over again after it was moved to the Spam Forum probably isn't the best idea, seeing as how a moderator hasn't even responded to you yet.

Yes, well - I'm hoping the second thread will generate enough non-flaming, non-trolling responses (of more than one or two sentences), as well as votes, that the mods, when they eventually do get around to addressing the dumping of the original into the 'Spam' bin, they might see that not only was it valid, but that people have a genuine interest in it - and that they might satisfy their curiousity as well.
You know, it's a violation of the rules to repost a thread Moderators have ruled against, and is especially unwise when you admit the mods have not changed their minds about it being spam. It's also a violation to post multiple threads on the same subject.

Oh, give me a break, Raem. Besides, there was no 'ruling', just a perfunctory trashing of the thread into 'Spam'.

Raem - Please note, the above text does not say NationStates Moderator. As far as I'm aware, that means you aren't a mod. Stop acting like one by constantly spouting the rulebook at people trying to get an answer. You may get your kicks reading and dissing the few threads a day that appear in Moderation, but in the few posts of yours I've read, you strike me as just as bad as Kahta is made out to be.
From everything that's been posted in this and the other thread, it does rather look like a ruling was made. You thread was spam. A decision was made to do something about it, even if it wasn't locked or deleted.

It's news to me that I'm impersonating a mod. I've always been pretty careful to avoid saying or implying that I am one. It's within my ability and isn't against the rules, however, to refer to any number of past rulings on every subject under the sun, and from those glean a pattern. If the mods do something a certain way twenty times in a row, it's not out of line for me to say it's likely they'll do it the same way a twenty-first time.
I also don't get my kicks by "dissing" whatever threads pop up in Moderation. There are a number of active threads in Moderation I haven't posted in, and don't intend to. Some with Kahta in them. If I think a point should be raised in a thread, and it hasn't been yet, why shouldn't I go on and raise it?

It's not spam until I hear a mod tell me flat out that it is, and why. You're not helping matters, you're just sticking your nose into my business while trying to impress the mods. Please go away.
Besides, I was really nice to you on that movie thread, while everyone else slagged you. What gives?

The simple fact that the thread was sent to the Spam forum should give you a note on exactly what happened. Obviously, a moderator, whomever it was, determined it to be such and sent it there. Creating a new thread stating the same thing isn't a smart move. Next time, I'd wait for an official ruling from a moderator, probably the one who made the actual decision, before doing anything.

Raem is not a NationStates Moderator. That said, he is correct in all details.

Incorrect. If a Moderator has moved it into the "Spam" forum, then it it spam and the act of it being moved to the "Spam" forum tells you (implicitly but clearly) that it is spam.
Official Warning - Spamming and reposting a moved topic without Moderator permission. Official records state that you have previous forum offenses for trolling and flaming. Any further violations of forum rules will result in a forumban.
You already have one complaint thread in "Moderation" on this. iMerge.
