Actually, that's a fair question.

Frisbeeteria has been a UN Delegate since Day 2 of its NationStates history. Region Jokeaday was formed by friends of www.jokeaday.com. For a few months, we had quite an active region, but folks drifted away. Frisbeeteria was one of only two active UN nations left, and quite frankly the UN had been kicking our national butt for about a year. I was ready for a change.

I feel it's hypocritical to be a UN forum regular and not be a UN member, or to use a UN puppet while keeping your 'posting nation' safe from statistical damage. I like posting in UN, so I stayed a member.

Once I got modded, I realized I had the perfect excuse to continue posting in UN without having to hate my own hypocrisy. I took the opportunity of Moddishness to go ahead and resign, knowing that I could continue to be pompous and annoying from behind the Forum Moderator badge. I did in fact create a UN puppet, and once I figure out where I'm going with all this, will post IC with the puppet while posting Moddishly as Fris.

Now don't you wish you hadn't asked?

Fris, you could have at least had the decency to bother taking it to the person in question who is particularly known for that piece of "hypocrisy." You should probably know the story of how they ended up with their UN puppet anyway.

I have nothing against you, but I do feel it is best to deal with such an issue with the person in question instead of posting it on a forum like that. Mod or not, there are issues of civility to be considered.

If you had not considered the way this is taken, know there are other ways for it to have been worded that would not have caused the reaction. And, yes, I do take my problems with people or their actions straight to them.

You're somewhat right, I phrased it badly. What I should have said is "I feel it's hypocritical for me to be a UN forum regular and not be a UN member." I honestly don't believe I can should be critical of other people's writing when I'm not willing to accept the consequences of what I suggest. That's my view, and I stand behind it.

I don't require you to follow my beliefs, and I don't believe I've ever mentioned it before in any context here at NS, so I can't really be accused of badgering anyone about it. I'm the only one that has to live with my own conscience (thank a Higher Being, or ask my ex-wife). Do what you will. It's your choice and your privilege.

Before I take all the heat onto myself, DLE, let me remind you that "The guilty flee'eth where no one'th pursue." I actually wasn't even thinking of you at all, but rather my fellow NSwiki sysop and pal, Goobergunchia. If he wants to bitch, I'll let him. :)

I'll admit that you have been amazingly silent about it. I have no problem with the charge, as I have levelled it at many before and even been a hypocrite myself a few times, so this viewpoint didn't bother me. I was going to wait until you moderated one of my posts and do the usual "unfair mod" complaint, but this was more tempting.
