Is this okay as Factbook:

This region has been reclaimed in the name of Lady Kitty by the GU Undead Army.

The tyranny of Tryanny has come to an end.

Support Lady Kitty by unendorsing all the TYW2 scum!

We are just RPing, but we don't want to break rules. Any references to other scum is purely coïncidential. :p

While I don't believe that this is actually against the rules, members of TYW2 will probably not be happy to be called "scum" - I suggest you change it to "Support Lady Kitty by unendorsing all TYW2 members!". Better safe than sorry, after all.

Being safe is not what it cracked up to be :P

You know thay are all just the same people, right? We are slowly taking over NationStates, and are playing wargames amongst each other. Calling them "scum" was just to provoke a counter attack, and since it are just friendly scermishes, the founder would have just sat by and declared a winner. That is how we do it. We have just played that Lady Kitty (The founder) has come back from exile, and retook her throne from the hostile TYW forces. They came back at the GU forces, which are driven out again, and so on. We're having a great time, and calling them "scum" was not done to hurt any feelings. :fluffle:

lol. Calling people scum would still be borderline flamebait. ;)

Factbook is changed. It is no big deal, really. We have to consider that Lady Kitty is RPing to be "evil". Evil people never ask friendly, to unendorse the enemy delegate. (The one who is sitting there right now.)
He is not ejected yet, because we are nice people, and it is not his fault that he is endorsed. His orders are to leave immediately. He just isn't very active on the moment. Sooner or later he'll be ejected, without being called "scum". :p

Actually, calling other NS players "scum" seems to me to be flaming.

Then again, I just got out of bed, so I'm groggy.

Darn, you are taking the fun out of it now. Why don't we simply stop challenging each other? That way we can simply do our two issues each day, and live happily ever after. We are stating that it is just RP, and that both regios actually belong to the same people. In fact by stating that TYW is "scum", we are actually talking/provoking/flamebaiting/insulting to ourselves. They viciously attacked the GU forces, just a few minutes before the update (Pure coincedence). Therefore we should be allowed to call them "scum", just to stay in our role.
We can wage war on each other, but we're not allowed to call each other names? I am getting confused here.

As delegate of the youngworld2 i can confirm no offence would be taken by the majority of the youngworldians, however like most regions, and places in real life im sure someone would jump up and complain.

Still if you cant call yourself scum anymore i dont know what the worlds coming to ;)

After discussing this with Cog we reached the following decision:

"Scum" is acceptable here for several reasons. Judging a "flame" is always a matter of opinion and this does no appear to be qualify. This is due to the severity of the words and also the "RP" nature of it. It seems closer to "You rebel scum" then "Don't trust that scum SalusaSecondus" (which is questionable) or "All liberals are scum." (Also questionable).

Personally, it is my belief that all rulings regarding flames must be made assuming a reasonable skin thickness by all players involved.

Thank you, SalusaSecondus. It is nice to know that despite the griefings, spammers, and other rulebrakers in the game, some decent form of RP is still allowed. Ofcourse the name "scum" was solely pointed at the soldiers who attacked TYW3, and not at the whole NS or TYW community. I am sure that Nelson called his enemies some names too. I hope you celebtrate Trafalgar day :)
