Edit: my apologies for the duplicate post

Hello, I am the delegate of North Atlantic. Recently, TPC paid a visit to my region and had the nations "Cape Breton" and "Greater Cape Breton" removed from the UN for rule violations (multiing). Now that I am the duly elected regional delegate, I think that there is only one player behind several different puppets in the region. Is there any way to get information on the identities of non-un puppets in the region?

Also, I wanted to know what the rules were for native delegates ejecting other natives. Specifically, in the Cape Breton case, I know this guy and "greater Cape Breton" are the same person, so if I eject both of them, would that mean I've ejected one, or two, natives?

Thanks for clarifying.

Having multiple non-UN nations per se is not a violation of NationStates rules. Some players have several non-UN nations, a rare few players have hundreds of non-UN puppets. It's only when you have 2 or more UN member nations OR you use a non-UN nation to break other rules that you run into trouble.

If the non-UN-member nations have not been breaking any rules, then we Mods won't reveal the puppetmaster.

If they have been breaking rules, then file a "Getting Help" request. Supply only the name of the rulebreaking nation(s), not the nation who you think is the puppetmaster. If the rulebreaking nations are puppets, then only we can find that out for certain.

In a case where it's clear that two or more nations are the same player, then it counts as ejecting one native.

Internally-elected Delegates have greater leeway than Invader Delegates in how many natives they may eject at the same time, but still may not come close to ejecting the entire native population. To be entirely on the safe side, Invader Delegates should eject no more than 10% of the native population while Internally-elected Delegates should eject less than roughly 30 or 40%. Going over that puts you in a legal gray zone where you risk being deleted.

Additionally, Invader Delegates are required to unban any natives they eject. Internally-elected Delegates are not required to unban natives.

Remember that the difference between "Invader Delegate" and "Internally-elected Delegate" depends upon how many endorsements from natives that you have, it doesn't depend upon you, yourself being a native. So, if you are a native to the region but are holding the Delegate position because of endorsements from invaders, then that makes you an invader Delegate.

Thanks for the reply, that was really helpful. I just want to double check on "Cape Breton" and "Greater Cape Breton," the mods did expel him from the UN for multying, so therefore he must be controlled by the same individual. So, in this specific case, would I be on legal ground if I booted these two specific nations?
