When you get a minute...

I'm unable to boot the nation of Hatchibombitar from Role Play University.

It says that the nation is no longer in RPU...but the region contains two nations (my puppet and Hatchibombitar). You'll also note that Hatchibombitar hasn't signed in for over 200 days.

I had submitted this through the getting help pages a week or more ago...perhaps that was the wrong place to submit this problem.

Could someone please remove Hatchibombitar from RPU.

Thanks.
W.

i've seen something like this happen only once before, when a delegate had griefed his region and two nations appeared on the list of nations, but weren't actually there..

really weird, maybe it will be fixed at update?

No - this nation has been there for months. Updates have no effect.

Inactive 242 days.

Okay, I'll ask Salusa to take a look at this.

A glitch, yes, but not one randomly caused by the game. No worries, it's not terribly difficult to fix.

Or is it the first of a new breed - 'the Immortal Nations'? NS is evolving...

Ehhh.... I doubt it. Evolution, as such, requires that the old generation die to make space and provide matter for the new generation. An immortal individual would not free up space or matter for offspring (or in the case of NationStates, nations and hard drive space on the game server, though I don't think we've hit the hard drive space limit, yet).

Not always. Sometimes, it requires mutations of the current generation that get passed on. Such as immunity or resistance to certain virus strains...

In this case, a small virus may have entered and tweaked with the code enough to make the nation oddly immortal.

But enough Darwinism, how'd it get like that?

A moderator monkeyed with the nation, resulting in it being stuck in a sort of limbo so it didn't update. Basically a case of moderator-induced no issues bug.
