Silly suggestion here ... those sorts of threads, regardless of who they're directed at, what nationality, color, religion, political party, etc are just trying to get attention and vent.
Let 'em fester all they like. Don't give them ammo. It's kind of hard to have a one-sided argument, after all. Let them go on long enough and eventually, if not right off the bat, they'll end up looking foolish as is. Unless the mods take issue with the level of nastiness in the content there, s' gonna be around.
Seems a lot of times to be more of that 'monkies in the zoo' phenomenon that has been mentioned several times. Thing to remember is, you start slinging crap, you're gonna get some on you. Let 'em stink if that's what they want. ;)
