My nation called Pureplayzland and arkaland where in the UN there my nations and them I paid the price when I got the two UN nations out of the UN by the MODS and then I got this nation Pureplayzron, Then I had only `1 UN nation in nationstates which is Pureplayzron, then I get a telegram that said can't have to nation in the UN and Pureplayzland deleted and shouldn't have got deleted this is not right!

If the Moderators can see this please re-store Pureplayzland back! thank you

Can you guys help

You might want to look at the timing on -when- all this happened for some answers. It's been recommended that you wait 24 hours before applying for another UN membership so that things do not get crossed.

If you had both in as UN multies before, it would seem that's why they were deleted. You have your current nation up and running, that didn't get deleted apparently. Seems offhand that the multies were deleted, and your current was denied membership on account. I'm sure a moderator who knows better what the situation is on their end can get you a more complete answer.

Did you wait 24 hours after your old nations were in the UN before you re-applied?

Wasn't for the UN thing, apparently--that was just a warning because the cheatscan tripped. Here's the warning tag in Pureplayzland:

UN warning: daft proposal (9 OCT 04) - $MOD && $OTHER_MOD: UN multi ('pureplayzland', 'sony111', 'arkaland', 'we_rule_the_world'; 29 NOV 04) && GORT for regional recruitment spam in 'mars' (18 JAN 05)

So the nation was revived?

No, Pureplayzland will not be restored as it was deleted for rules violations (see above). Pureplayzron, however, isn't a UN multi and therefore no action will be taken.

Pureplayzron, don't argue with the moderators. They have their reasons. Arguing with them just takes away valuable time when they could be moderating. Your nation broke rules and was deleted. UN multies are not allowed. Period.

You may not have two UN nations connecting from the same computer.

Having two exclamation marks at the end of each sentence doesn't help either, though.

I didn't know the game memorizes IP addresses. I only had one nation in the UN, and the game does not warn you about that security system. They could at least tell you to watch out for that. Thanks for the game mod rules...

I have more than one nation. Can they all join the UN?
No. You may only have one nation in the UN at any given time. To enforce this, UN member nations must supply an e-mail address.

What if I sneak them in using other e-mail addresses?
First up, don't. This is against the rules, and other people will be annoyed with you when they find out. It's a low, underhand thing to do. And the chances of getting caught are pretty high: the game uses four different methods to detect cheaters.

Nations that rort the UN in this way will be expelled and prevented from re-joining. If you do it with multiple nations, they'll all be deleted, including your main nation. If you're especially annoying, you'll be banned from making any new nations, too. But don't make me do that.

This has also been covered MANY times in Moderation Forum. There are multiple ways in which we determine if someone is trying to use more than one UN nation... and you honestly don't expect us to explain how we catch on, I hope?

I read the FAQs before joining and am well aware of the rules!! This is why I would never do this!! I'm only pointing out that it is very unfair that innocent nations are ejected!! I read somewhere on this forum that SalusaSecondus is able to check if the natiuon was used on a certain IP address for only a few times!! I would like to ask Salusa to please do this when he/she has teh chance!! I have used my neighbor's computer once or twice with my nation!! Also, the IP address of MY computer is used much more with my nation than my neighbor's!! I hope Salusa can check this!! Thank you very much!! :)

Unless a moderator physically comes to your house to verify your story, there's no real way of knowing whether or not you're telling the truth. Only technical information, in this case IP addresses, can be verified.

The rules are clearly stated: Don't ever log onto another computer with your nation, even for a few minutes. There's no way to tell if you're telling the truth or not. Therefore, you ejection will most likely stand in lieu of your claims of innocence. Unfortunately, a few nations ruined the integrity and honesty of us all.

It never says anything about not using your nation with another computer!! You could at least point that out!! It says also on the forum that a game moderator may verify the IP address of the computers that were used to see if a nation was used on an IP address a few times and most of the time on another!!

From here (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=274575):

"]Q: My friends operate those other UN member nations. We all share the same computer.
A: I'm sorry if that's the case. There is no way for the game to tell how many people are on the other end of a computer.

[...]

Q: But that's not fair!
A: True, and again, I'm sorry if you and your friends have been punished unjustly. However, this is the closest we can come to fair. If we accepted people's explanations that they were using a public computer with their friends, we would have to let people create as many UN nations as they like. This would destroy the whole point of the UN.

The line has to be drawn somewhere, and thus, fair or not, the rule must stand.

I am quoting from the technical forum:

"If you've received a warning and don't have multiple UN member nations, just sit tight. If you get expelled or deleted, there will be an appeal process where I can investigate your situation in more detail and see if there was a mistake.

By "mistake," I mean something like: your nation was operated from the same location as another UN member on only one or two occasions, and never since. Not "my friends come around and use my computer for those nations," as per the above."

You see? :sniper:

I've got a few nailed down, methinks...

1) E-mail

2) IP

3) Password?

4) Name similarity?

I really think that only the first two are true, and there are no three and four. It's just a ploy to control us.

I think mods cannot see your password (should be encrypted) but also there is other ways like log-in - log-out time...

By the way, there was a post once telling all those ways but it got deleted :sniper: after we were able to read it :p

I don't believe that Heiligkeit meant that s/he wanted their IP, I believe s/he meant that s/he wanted the mods to check their IP and the other nation's and verify that they weren't primarily from the same computer.

Or something like that, I think.

1) E-mail - multiple email addresses ie gmail, yahoo, hotmail etc

2) IP - IP spoof

3) Password? - random password generator

4) Name similarity? - unique names

Tactics one could employ if they really wanted to thwart the system but why bother?
Jjuulliiaann

I do not think that those are the methods the game uses to determine if you are a cheater. The only two that we know are:
1) IP Address
2) Log-in pattern detection

The rest are secret.
