Can a moderator help me out with a nation who is heavily flamebaiting, to the point where it's beyond obvious. As a government member of THE EXODUS, I am very offended that there is a new region out there called THE EXODUS LIBERATION, which discourages new nations from entering our fine region, and promotes nations currently in the region to leave. The Worldfact Book Entry for this region also speaks of our founder, AVENGING ANGELS, in a highly derogatory manner. Here is a copy of THE EXODUS LIBERATION's Worldfact Book Entry:

"Freedom for the nations of The Exodus! If you feel oppressed by AA you have a home here.

Freedom is nothing but a chance to be better."

Other nations of my residing region have also complained about this, but have yet to receive any compliance. Your help is greatly appreciated.

I'm afraid that this doesn't classify as flamebaiting. While these people are casting aspersions on your region, they do not seem to be actually insulting anybody. Political opposition is a fact of life, in the real world and on NationStates - you may not agree with their positions, but we are not about to stop it.

If they actually insult someone, please tell us, and we will do what we can; but we will not police regional politics.

Well, I am the founder of The Exodus. I feel personally offended by this new region and what it is saying. No offense to Tsaraine as I have had no problems with them, and they have always been nice to me. I feel like this region called The Exodus LIberation is meant to provoke some sort of response from myself and my region, and I thought that was what flamebait was. I feel the intent of this region is to malign myself and my region. I am probably wrong, and thats okay. I just wanted to get out my opinion, and if the choice is to do nothing then I respect the mods decision. Thank you, and have a good night.

It never says that The Exodus is actually oppressive, even.

No, it's politics. And it's not trying to promote the responce of flaming (which would be flamebaiting) it's trying to promote the responce of leaving.

I saw the region and the notes and mottos and World Fact Book (bait), I found it quite negative and offensive to The Exodus. But since I didn't bite (respond back) it's not flamebaiting? I poised a question in the Getting Help link on this matter. Does that count?

Freedom is nothing but a chance to be better.offends you as flamebait, then you really need to grow thicker skins. As far as we can see, they are politely, quite politely, disagreeing with you. This has approximately one-millionth the vitriol of the invader/defender bull we have to put up with, and a lot of that isn't actually flamebaiting either.
