Inappropriate Language

I believe that the comments by John Browning in the thread

http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?p=8036929#post8036929

may well be inappropriate in this forum, given that the readership varies greatly in age.

The poster appears to be using the thread merely as a means of posting material of this type.

Submitted for your consideration.

As far as I'm aware there no rules against bad language in RP posts, and I don't believe there's any ruling against such in General.

Dobbs Town's charming trolling that Browing replied to, on the other hand, gets him a warning.

The language appears to be offensive and inappropriate.

It bears no relationship to the topic of th thread, and seems to be merely an excuse for the writer to indulge in a juvenile smut-writing exercise which adds no value to the thread at all.

I am more than happy to have the moderation team consider the matter on its merits.

Actually, it's a quote of a comedy skit, I believe. And, as said, there is no rule I'm aware of against swearing in the General forum unless it's part of a flame.

If its a "comedy" then it is obviously for the easily amused.

I am uncertain whether to be more disappointed or bemused by your reaction.

I imagine that you may as well complete this farce by warning me for describing the post as "juvenile", "inappropriate", and "smut" - all slanderous comments which I have just deliberately and maliciously repeated.

What a joke.
