2 accounts under the same IP

West Deutschland

Howdy!

The nations West Deutschland and Vizeu belong to two different physicall persons.
However, we share the same house, thus e share the same internet connection.

SinceWest Deutschland is already a UN member, and in the rules it says clearly that you won't allow more than one account in UN per person (thus, implicitly limiting one IP at a given time/UN member) i'd like to know if there will be any problem if Vizeu joins the UN.

Thanks in advance :)

(Sirocco, sorry for editing, but i think you misunderstood my question :) )

Please don't publically accuse people of cheating - you may be wrong. Use the Getting Help Page to file your report.

Well... i'm not accusing oanyone of cheating.
I'm West Deutschland (WD) and Vizeu is a friend of mine :)

I just wanted to ask if there will be a problem if he, Vizeu, joins th UN.

Thanks

There will be a problem. The only way they can tell who you are most of the time is your IP address. If you have a network, they may be able to tell you apart by computers, as long as you always use the same computer, and then I would advise you to mnot do it anyway because of the danger involved.

That aside, outside of the UN you can have as many accounts as you want. I have six, only one of which is in the UN.

Well, in fact i'm behind a NAT, but the public IP is only one.
Ok, no UN for Vizeu then :)

Thanks =)

You technically can have two nations behind the same IP as long as they are on different computers. That is dangerous, however, so I wouldn't recommend it.

At home I we two computers as well. They use the same modem, but then the cable just needs to be switched. Would that be a problem too? (Because I have no idea how IP works..)

It could be a problem, but it's not likely, I think.
Still, I would be careful.
