Question on Founders

I'm the founder of Role Play University - and I have plans to close the school.

As founder, can I boot everyone (but one puppet of mine) from the region, then install a password and exit my nation from the region?

a) is this "legal"
b) will the region remain provided I log in to my puppet every now and then.

Thanks.

Yes, as founder of the region, you are entitled to do anything with the region you want, as long as it's within NationStates TOS.

Founders ARE allowed to boot an unlimited amount of whoever's, for any reason they want. They can password the region, and don't have to tell anyone. (Note, it has to be done using the founder nations name, not a puppet of the founder in the Delegates seat.)

The region will remain, as long as your puppet is kept alive, ie the 28/60 days thing.

Yes, and yes.

Just in case you wanted an official position.

Thanks. Its tough giving up Role Play University - but I certainly don't want to have someone else trying to run it - that would likely end up hurting Stephistan's and my reputations.

On the same note, I've heard that the region "North Pacific" is about to apply for a founder. It's previous founder, Kalagan, was appointed by moderators but was deleted, from what I've gathered. I have also heard that moderators, as a general rule of thumb, do not appoint founders in regions where the previous founder has been deleted.

I would appreciate it, if a moderator could answer my following questions, now that the previous questions have been answered. ( Hope it does not seem I've hijacked this thread :p but since your questions were answered, I thought "what the hell" )

Was Kalagan deleted? In case this is true, if they apply for a founder, will this wish be granted?

Yes, Kalagan was deleted for rule violations. That is a strong factor against appointing a new Founder, though I have not evaluated the case as yet.

I think regions with a lot of invasion history, particuarly recently, with a nation that is assured to be fully supported by natives should be able to get foundership.

northern ireland tried for this back in..hmm September, but i do not think we should get it due to the divide that Northern Ireland has always maintained within the region

I am glad to hear that RPU will remain in existence though -- just to look upon as my old school :)

(ps: due to me not being able to access the main NS site due to I guess technical difficulties, I can only post here with the last nation I was playing with when the difficulties arose for me two hours ago)
