Refusal to leave thread

Hi, I've told Sjadderi in the past to refrain from posting in my threads, and he has refused to do so. Could I please have a mod help me out?

While I can't argue with a request to dislodge a stubborn harrasser - whatever the case is here - is it not possible to well, ignore the guy/gal, whether by not responding, or if you need to, by using the tools available? It takes two to tango, you know. Yes, it is annoying. Yes, it is stupid that people can't leave well enough alone. But Kahta, I have to wonder about something.

I think I see your name on more complaints in this forum than anyone these days. Now why is that? I've heard various theories on the matter, but I'm asking for you seriously to contemplate that and perhaps make a few adjustments on account.

Not saying it's all your fault, not saying it isn't. Just asking you to consider a little introspection. I will stand by my opinion that there are a number of complaints on this game that could be easily solved between players without moderator intervention if the proper effort were put into it, or if players could put themselves above some of the silliness or pettiness that often goes on.

Just a thought or two, take it for what it's worth.

While you may stipulate that certain people cannot roleplay in an invitation only thread, the General forum is a discussion forum. Discussion is not possible if dissenting opinions are silenced; therefore, he may post.

No Moderator action has been taken.

He probably quoted it and was looking it over when you editted.

He has in the past, in a threatening manner, told people the town in which I reside, and no action was taken. This time, he simply spammed in my thread, and no action was taken. However, if he was a right winger, action would have been taken. If I was a Jew and he was a Nazi following me around everywhere posting spam in my threads, he would have been asked to stop.

I have asked him to leave. I already have him on my ignore list, but he still posts in my threads.

I make complaints on here, when valid about people. I do not have the time, nor interest to deal with idiots, and I would rather that the mods deal with them.

I'm not clear on the details, but I vaguely remember telling someone rather sternly to knock it off (and it was directly related to the incident you're describing), but I don't remember where in the forums it was. Unfortunately, a forum search is not cooperating with me and I can't pull it up.

Do you have links?

I've spoken with other Moderators, and we've decided that his post is parody, not spam. You are advocating what is commonly referred to as a "conspiracy theory" and he is replying with parody to make a statement about the absurdity of that theory.

Incorrect. We do not moderate based on a political bias.

I would simply look at it as another opportunity to practice dealing with idiots, jerks, and other forms of human debris... :mp5: :sniper:

Most of them seal their own fate by exposing themselves for what they are and relegate themselves to a status of ignorance or irrelevance.

Give me a break, kid. That comment was about how you two were fighting like children. Hence the "during recess" comment. I'm not actually going to tell anyone where you live. I don't even know where you live. I think you're taking me entirely too seriously.

Regardless, it qualifies as a threatening statement. Don't do it again.

...

Now, are there any related, unresolved issues that have not been addressed by NationStates Moderators?

To reiterate: You cannot request that someone stay out of a thread in "General" if their behavior is otherwise-legal.
