Wouldn't touch it with a ten-foot pole, but figured I'd make it easy for the mods to find.

why is that rulebreaking

I spent an hour writing (and illustrating that) and teh only thing that people could possibly get insulted by is the whole joke about myrth

Don't mind me, I'm probably just lacking in sleep. That certainly wouldn't be something I'd want to see written about me though. It might well not be breaking any rules at all (in which case I apologise), but if you're going to write about the mods, it seems only fair that they should at least know about it.

the moral of the story was that they won though..its a pro mod story./.. from a certain point of view :P

I understand where you are coming from. But i think that most of the mods have a pretty good sense of humor, and it wasnt as if I was making any comments which would actually offend them, unless i have rubbed salt in some long forgotten wound of one of them...

Well, my aim wasn't to get them to do anything about it. I just figured they should have it pointed out to them, since it's about them.

I think the confusion is more my 'wouldn't touch it with a ten-foot pole' comment. That's nothing to do with rules, that's just me being daft. Just ignore me :p

Two things:

Myrth seems to be one of the targets of this joke. Whether or not this constitutes flamebait is going to depend largely upon his interpretation. If it were directed at me, I might have found it amusing. As the case stands, it's a good idea to get the permission of the target for anything with this much preparation.

Japaica is the other target of this joke. I just woke up, so I can't think straight enough to remember if mocking a DOS player is against the rules or not.

Ok, Cog locked it.

i concede defeat Shaed.

Although his reasons, first I can understand, it was not intedned as flamebait though, and I have to honestly say taht I think that Myrth would be able to take the joke. He seems pretty cool assuming we are not mass spamming

The second issue though.. DOS player... never heard of a rule like taht, and I talked to Jap alot and we had a friendly relationship :s

so ill see what happens

*crosses fingers*
*hopes for best*
*runs*

EDIT: oh, and good night..i should remember next time not to post when half asleep :S

I like it. I don't think one needs permission to post critisism to someone who can read and defend, but I must agree about the DOS player. We have no way of confirming that a banned member gave consent.

Myrth, who smelt like rotten eggs,

I don't think Myrt would mind this, unless you two clashed before.

I think we will all be fine but Cog is right, should have asked Myrth first.

either way lesson learnt

If it were directed at me, I might have found it amusing.
is it too late to change all reference of Myrth to you? :)

Heh - I found it amusing, but permission should have been asked first
