Well, altough I have been a member for over a year I hardly come to these forums. I didnt understand how to pm this question in a more private matter (or I am simply an idiot) so I made this topic.
Anyways, I have been wondering for a long time now if the changing the name of nation's is possible. I searched around a bit and saw in another section of the forums: Mods, can you change my nation name for me?
First off, this is a Mod Forum question, for all that I see it in Tech, secondly, no, they can not. They used to be, but it caused all kinds of problems so that [violet] disabled it..
I was wondering, will this always be the same? Because I noticed that once a nation is deleted, no other nation can take its name. Why is that? Some really nice and sweet names are not being used for years now I think. Is there not any way to convince to have your nation's name changed into something else?
Thank you for your time.

Nation names cannot be changed, however, many of the older used names (18 months dead) will soon be available again. You will have to create a new nation if you want a different name though.

If I recall correctly, the date will not be released so as to prevent a rush for the famous and imfamous names of the game.
