Appeal to closing of the thread, "Gloatfest 2004"

Ummm...I'm wondering why the mods closed my thread, "Gloatfest 2004" in the general forum when we were just exercising our rights and gloating over Bush winning the election. We didn't even use any cuss words! But the mods never close liberal posts that have cuss words in them.

If you read the rules sticky, the mods said that gloating is illegal.
BTW, I'm a conservative too.

I understand, but it doesn't make sense that liberals can call us "dumb, redneck a**holes and not get in trouble. Oh well.

I must be against this appeal; that thread was intended as pure slander against us Democrats, and should not have been opened in the first place.

Well if you start a thread about that topic, it will be closed as well.

Sorry no liberal mod conspiracy.

In fact a couple of them are rather conservative.....

Another Moderator locked the thread to keep things under control, but didn't have time to take further action on it. The case was passed to me.

I have issued official warnings for trolling against "Holy Paradise" and "Superpower07". They have been threatened with forumbans.

Correct, as is being a sore loser.

That qualifies as flaming and is against NationStates rules. Do you have a link to such incidents?

"Holy Paradise" and "Superpower07": Official warnings - Trolling. Any further forum violations will result in a forumban.I remember back in the day when there weren't any forum bans. Two strikes and your out. Not, two strikes and your going to the penalty box for icing.

Actually, it's trolling (at least, the way I define it), since the comments were directed against Democrats and not against specific NationStates players. If the comments were directed at specific NationStates players, then it would be flamebait.

I remember back in the day when there weren't any forum bans. Two strikes and your out. Not, two strikes and your going to the penalty box for icing.
As I recall, the policy has typically been as follows:

2 game violations result in a deletion.
Multiple (and by "multiple", I'm being deliberately vague) forum violations results in a forumban. Further violations after the forumban result in deletion. In the past, we used to use 2 week forumbans almost exclusively, though in recent months we have handed out forumbans for shorter durations for severe-but-not-quite-as-severe offenses.

If "Holy Paradise" and "Superpower07" were ever forumbanned, then it wasn't recorded in the Mod Center by a Game Moderator.
