Can I talk to a Mod? Someone posted some spam here (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=383741) and I want to file a complaint.

Not very nice for a Mod....your sarcasm was a bit hateful. I wasnt trying to spam- I originally typed in "i just came by to see what you mods were doing while the rest of us were posting away, care to join us?" But I didnt know if I should. So I kept it lighter and "peeked in" and it turns out I spammed. I can appreciate the comment by Tuesday Heights because it wasnt rude. I'm still a little new so I dont have all the exact compliance standards down. I'll learn a little faster after this.

I think it's sad that casual chat is considered to be spam here. Are we really in that much of a need to conserve server space?

I wonder if Peechland got a warning.

I hope you all realize that Cog is the "NationStates Self-Proclaimed Court Jester".

Lol. I always enjoy a good piece of sarcasm/irony, mixed in with chocolate cake. :)

I was joking. I apologize for the confusion. Mea Culpa.

Under no circumstances are posts signed as "NationStates Self-Proclaimed Court Jester" to be taken seriously.

Well, I still think it's sad.

Sarcasm is my middle name. Humor is the best thing in the world besides love. I just felt that Cogs remark was on the negative side of sarcasm. I think I'm a pretty good member, not a troublemaker and I was one of the first ones in here to report when that annoying person came in the other night and spammed up general by bashing Myrth. So pardon me if I am a little offended by the mocking of my post which was made with the best intentions. I'm a Moderator of an online group and I'd never treat my new members like that.

Ah well, It's nice to see that mods have a sense of humour.
Still think the NS definition of spam is too strict, though.

Peechland, I'm also in a moderation capacity (admin of the MDSC, linked in my sig). I also try to be polite with all my members, new or otherwise.

I apologize for offending you. That wasn't my intent.

I have retracted the joke.

No, we're not anymore... but this is Moderation, where requests for said action and/or investigation are handled. There's no point in "spam" here like the thread in question.

We know it's in your signature. Everyone can read it. Now, can you stop advertising it every time someone APPEARS to have a Moderator issue in this forum? It's blatant advertising and post-whoring, IMHO, which is a tad bit frowned on around here.

Okay, this originally-lighthearted thread is going downhill, fast.

iLock.

Though, I have to admit that the cause can primarily be traced back to me. :(
