Definitely sticky worth, IMHO.
Hmmm, I would figure it would be archived rather then stickied if it is so popular ...
Actually, I think it should be a sticky in the archive... I mean, since Max mentioned it himself we should probably leave it someplace where it won't get lost in a pile of threads in some forum and overlooked as many current stickies are. An archive sticky would definatly give this thread what it deserves and ensure it's around for a long time.
