I have a question. A member from our regional board, roachsylvania, was * i think* warned and threatened by you, Myrth, that you would IP ban him. After some discussion, several of us Paradise Beach members beleive you may be mistaken into thinking that roach is a Japaican puppet, and that just for saying some stuff about Japaica you are going to ban him. I repeat, this has led to a lot of confusion. We have no clue weather you think he is Japaica, a Japaican puppet, or what. I would like to bring to your attention once again that i know Japaica personally for he is quite a good friend of mine. To me he has stated that he has no desire to join NS again as it has gotten boring and he believes the mods are over-bearing and asume to much control over the forum. He has not even made an attempt to get past the DOS ban and IP ban since the IP ban and a few of us Paradise Beachers beleive that you think that several of us are Japaican puppets and or Japaica himself.

In other-words....

just wondering what the heck the last post in this thread means.

'Quadrocycle' 'Fury Feet' and 'Remember Japaica' all had positive links to being Japaica puppets. That's what I was referring to.

ah they did? Well i'll have to talk to my friends about this. Seems like Jap has pulled one over on me and is attempting to get me to help him when he has done this. Either that or it is another friend of mine. I know that one of my friends is Fury Feet and Quadrocycle. Perhaps Jap may have created Remember Japaica while he was over at his house. I will ask my other friend about this and see what i can find out. Quad and Fury feet are not Japaicas puppets though, that i assure you.

There were multiple links between the nations.

I just talked to a friend of mine who was quadrocycle. He says yes, Japaica was at his house earlier today and created the nation Remember Japaica. He made the threads and all. When i meant no links i meant that Quad and Fury feet were not used by JAP. He posted on his own accord. But yes...remember japaica was used by JAP at quads house. So this whole thing is understandable.

I am sorry for wasting your time with this. Though i thankyou for resolving the situation.

Well, needless to say, it's generally not a good idea to let someone who's IP banned log into NationStates using your computer!

Yeah. My friend wants to repeal the ban though, Quadrocycle. who is now yelling at me on aim for everything i said in this thread and is cussing at me. Well...if there is any way he could be un-banned i would appreciate you informing me as to exactly how he or I could get this to happen.

The way to appeal a ban is to e-mail admin@nationstates.net or salusa@nationstates.net.

Quad was deleted. so was his second nation fury feet. So was his other nation that JAP made at his house named Remember Japaica. Jap posted at Quads house...myrth found the IPs....
got pissed off. Deated all 3. I must say...utter stupidity on Japs part.

Just so you know, Myrth's a Forum Mod, which means he can't delete anyone, yet... Only Game Mods can do that. So, before you guys flame the heck out of Myrth for this "atrocity," keep in mind that it wasn't his doing, just his alerting.

This isn't a ban. Provided there are no further links to Japaica detected on your nations, they'll be fine.

What if one nation is called japaica something a rather? Then is that a DOS for a name?

And noone asked you tuesday heights.

i was never planning on flaming him for anything. I hope someone would notice that i am one of the few clean-mouthed, level-headed members in Paradise Beach.

I didn't say you would, but PBers have a tendency to flame about things like this... I was just saving you guys the trouble. ;)

Tuesday Heights is correct in regars to appealing the ban.

We have stated often that you share computers with other Nationstates players AT YOUR OWN RISK. To our eyes, it looks as though Quadrocycle was Japaica, and because we cannot verify how many people are on any single computer, we have to assume the worst. The ban stands.

No, it's a deletion because of other evidence that existed on it.

knowing absolutly everything involving Remember Japaica, what other evidence?

The only evidence that counts is the IP stuff, and the various methods the mods use that are undisclosed to us, nothing anybody "says" is considered viable evidence.

So the Ip of a long living, now pointlessly dead, nation, no, two nations, are nothing compared to the name "Japaica"? And its alegitimate I have! I had a nation for months that was deated for no real reason. If there is a reason I would love it if someone told me...

You have a reason:

We have stated often that you share computers with other Nationstates players AT YOUR OWN RISK. To our eyes, it looks as though Quadrocycle was Japaica, and because we cannot verify how many people are on any single computer, we have to assume the worst. The ban stands.

Because there was evidence that 'Quadrocycle' had been accessed from the same computer as 'Japaica'.
To us, that means Quadrocycle = Japaica.

Wonderful, I'll be able to boost my mod scores back up. Now that finals are over, I can again dedicate more time to moderating, including busting down spammers cat-quick.

Now think of this: Is it REALLY wise to threaten to spam attack the site? For one, now we know to be on the alert, and for another, more persistant spammers have tried their luck and failed.

You made the mistake of sharing your computer with a DEAT-on-Sight player, and are now whining when you have to deal with the consequences. Getting over it would be far more productive than throwing a childish hissy fit and threatening to spam the site. It is, after all, only a game.

Yech ... there is of course the R.L. legal question as to making that threat and going on to do it to any great degree ...
