You know, I didn't say one word when I was threatened with having my nation deleted because I was "posting flames and flamebait," even though I definitely didn't agree with that assessment. But shouldn't you at least make a GESTURE in the direction of being fair???

Take a look at this thread and tell me that the original poster isn't indulging in flamebaiting, and then take a look at some of the follow-up posts by this same individual who uses the "m-f" word when refering to Christians. http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=381141

Please tell me that NS hasn't joined the noisy anti-Christian rabble by allowing blatant attacks against Christians which would never be tolerated against any other religious group.

Yepz. Calling all christians morons, because they allow slavery is flamebait and trolling. There is no doubt here. The fact that it is only a poll option, so only voters are calling the Christians morons, makes it a little bit more trolling, and a little less flamebait.

The fact that the poll was created in such a way is flamebait the way I see it... it's like a poll where you're asked if George Bush is doing "Good, Great, or Excellent" and you can't pick anything else. it's biased, and it's just not cool, regardless of what your actual views are. The title of the thread, and the responses that the author of the thread make are both inflammatory as well.

Was it really necessary to attack the moderators like you did? You do realize that they aren't always actively scouring the forums looking for bad posts, right? Sometimes they don't see something until it's pointed out to them. Hence one of the purposes of the moderation forum. Maybe instead of attacking them and accusing them of uber-bias, you could just post the flamebait threads like a civil human being.

I'd have to strongly disagree. He's using a small segment of Christians who use the bible to defend slavery (And note: no where in the article he posts is there actually an example of any christian at this school using the bible to defend slavery, or even defending slavery at all. The simply allow the students to read *one* pamphlet of people who have that view, along with all the other literature the teach as part of that curriculum, so that the students see all sides of the debate.) as an excuse to attack all christians. Allow me to quote:

Now, I'm a Canadian. I'm not religous at all. I have no connection whatsoever to slavery in the south, or a dispute over Catholicism. But this sickens me. It really does. There's no justification for this kind of assult, it's cheap, juvenille, and hateful. It represents everything this person is criticising in the people he dislikes, and goes far worse. If this isn't flame-bait, I don't know what is.
