Can you provide a link to the site where your old flag is situated?
It doesn't matter what the meaning behind it was, if it is a swastika then its against the rules.

Any flag that resembles a swastika and is categorically ruled on as illegal is as such illegal, regardless as to where you've gotten it or what it's meaning is.

As I remember it, it resembled the Nazi Iron Cross shaped so it looked like a Swastika.
The moderator involved gave you the benefit of the doubt and just removed it - usually a second infraction leads to deletion.

Ahem: (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=4757874&postcount=22)

Reverse swastikas are prohibited, as are yellow swastikas, or 3D swastikas, or anything else that looks an awful lot like a swastika.

It doesn't even resemble a Swastika. You are free to wear it as flag.

Max Barry name the Swastika as such. He didn't name it "evil" flag or "communist" flag. He said specifically "Swastika". What made you think this was about a hammer-and-sickle?

The point is that the Soviet regime is responsible for more deaths and atrocities than the Nazis, and yet the Godhead of this site doesn't seem to find the hammer-and-sickle to be as inappropriate as the swastika.
