Cassandrah Violates the "no recruting" Rule

Hi mods.

It's been about a week since I've had something to moan and whine about, but here it is...

I've sent in a request via getting help, but I did it with a puppet.

So, I'm posting with my main nation to make a point.

The Computer addictiveness of Cassandrah has sent a recruitment telegram to my nation of Soviet KGB AFTER I moved it to ALSN. I find it very offensive, since I made it clear in my region's factbook that I will not tolerate any form of recruitment messages at all.

The message is still there.

I'd like to see this nation get a warning. I did not appreciate being recruited from my own PLAYER CREATED region.

Uh...yeah...and I know it's a spelling mistake in the title

34 minutes ago: The United Socialist States of Soviet KGB arrived from The West Pacific.
Not to defend the practice of cross-recruiting or anything here ... but it looks like you just created the nation and then moved it. I'd say it's a reasonable mistake on their part to send a telegram based on the spawning time, but having missed the "departed this region" message.

I'd say that any telegrams sent in the first hour of a nation's existence should be ignored in terms of violations. It sure looks like an honest mistake to me.

I don't care. I moved it within the first minute. It is in my region when I received the telegram, therefore, it's a violation of the rules.

I am quite sure he was still in the feeder when I'd sent the the message. I am not aware of violating any rules. Mod can see by the second where you were when you received the message.

I think you miss the point of the spirit of the mods' rulings about this. She was compliant with the rules when she intended to send you the t-gram wasn't she? I mean, can you show where she recruited from your region or from your spawning? Personally, I don't think this should deserve a ruling. If it does, this could give a lot of people a means by which to get a lot of recruiters in trouble!

This seems very much like a vendetta.

Indeed. Since Cassandrah and her region are the main reason that rule exists as clearly defined as it is today, I sincerely doubt she would purposely break it.

It also takes more than one minute sometimes to send a message. You could easily have moved while she was writing you.

Enough of the non-mod speculation. I would much appreciate a mod ruling.

I still do not like being recruited. But, if you guys insist on standing up for her, I'll teach her a lesson the traditional way - warfare.

Uh-huh. Right. You moved it within the first minute. Which gives us a rough timeline:

Puppet created in $Pacfic
Recruiter sees puppet
Recruiter loads nation
You move puppet
Recruiter pastes message.
Recruiter clicks 'send'
Recruiter still isn't aware that puppet has moved
You complain

Keep in mind that a player was deleted for doing just this with numerous puppets in a cheap attempt to get a particular recruiter deleted. You might note that since the nation page doesn't instantly refresh, the recruiter will never notice that the puppet has moved if they open the nation before the move. Quit trying to split hairs and use the Mods as your hammer.

This makes me really want to put confidence in the mods.

This reminds me as to why I'm sad to see Stephistan leave - at least she was a nice mod. I know that if I ever complain, I won't be able to count on any of the mods.

oh come on, did it really hurt you that much to get a recruitment telegram? I mean come on, it was only one. And Hack made a nice point of how it was unintentional that you received it whilest in the new region.

Aw, that's not true, Kry...this should point out that Hack is in fact a nice mod, for not taking action against a player when they were most likely not breaking the rules in this case.

I'm sure the same would be done for you should you ever find yourself in this position.

No, what it says to me is that no matter how much I try and be nice when something doesn't come across as beign right, I still get the short end of the mod stick. It would have been nice for once to not be screwed. I'm sorry, but it seriously wasn't pleaseant to get a recruitment telegram. I have got many before, but nothing happened when I complained. (mainly because I didn't see any results in a week, got annoyed and deleted the message).

Come on, don't be sore. When you receive a recruiting message, it takes about 3 secs to delete it. How long did it take to complain about it? Believe me, if it were flames or abuses, I would be the first to stand up for you, claiming that this might be an unfair ruling. I have been assisting people with complaint many times. Not with this nation, mind you, but I help when I feel that I am needed.
I apologize if I have offended you in any way. I am nothing but a recruiting monkey.

1: Monkey see nation get founded.
2: Monkey sees no swearwords in motto, currency, animal, or anything else that beholds the nation.
3: Monkey sends message, with apology if the nation didn't want to be recruited (Read it. I am not lying!).
4: Monkey waits for reply, and if positive, the nation gets assistance.

That is all I do. I even try to stay out of the grey area, where a nation gets founded, and moves immediately to a region. In that case I will ignore it. I am sorry if I missed it on your case. My messages are not automated, as many players think. I am just very good (Obviously not perfect). :D

hmm.. did you put some sort of brainwashing device into that last reply? for some reason, it makes me want to move to whatever region you might be advertising... very odd...

Sure it takes a couple of seconds, but, I still don't have to tolerate receiving a recruiting message. It's full within my rights to report it, since I'm in my own usercreated region.

Just stay out of my path and out of my region.

Yeah, you're right. You don't have to tolerate a recruiting message... if it's sent illegally. You always have the right to report it... if it's sent illegally. In this case neither of the above is true, and the moderators made their ruling, move on, it's just a game.

Cry me a river.

Then please stop wasting the mod's time. Hack is a GREAT mod, and a fine RPer...and the rules are there to prevent abuse, not to allow you to whine about every minor infraction.

Now, Hack has been kind enough to explain the ruling...accept it, or go through the right channels to try and get it changed.

You were in a feeder region, you are allowed to be recruited from a feeder region even if you move into the player-created region as the telegram is being sent. What part of that don't you understand? You're acting as if you're the only one this ever happens to, and you're not, we can get over it, why can't you?
