I've a question. Are the mods even looking for a replacement? We've lost mods in the past, and it didn't force you guys to go looking for a new one. Is there even a need to immediately replace Steph? What strikes me as even more interesting is some of the nominations, and the hang-ups everyone seems to have concerning political beliefs. I'm not really too certain it makes anything of a difference, as we've got everyone from Socialists to Libertarians on staff.

The reason we don't have any Nazis, I imagine, is due in part to the fact that I don't believe I've ever met one who was mentally capable of being objective. I'm not trying to slam anyone personally, but it's something I've noticed lately.

Also, voting is poinltess. All mods are appointed by the Admin. It's like a President picking his cabinet.

It's more of a seasonal thing. Every so often a mod has to make a decision that is unpopular but is the right decision, and as a result people whine or mod-hate the guy/gal in question. It's just Myrth's turn right now. It's happened for as long as we've had mods. Neut, Slag, Hack, Steph, Scolo, myself, Melkor... we've all gone through phases where a dedicated couple of people who ended up on the wrong end of a modbomb or something get all ticked off and try to retaliate the only way they know how.

Heck, it's practically a rite of passage to get your first real hate thread!

That'd be such a hassle =p (I listen to a very wide range of music when modding, though a good chunk of it comes from Overclocked Remix and VG Mix)

1. I think Myrth is cool.
2. I think Tuesday Heights would be a great mod, and that seems to be the general opinion, but as many people have said, it is not a vote. Whoever will be picked will be picked, and no one said that every mod needs to be replaced. Maybe we won't get another mod for a long time. You never know.

I know some people may have had issues with Stephanistan but when I look back on it from my own personal experience with her I thought she was a pretty dam good moderator-Ill miss her

If a new mod is selected, you will all be informed, obviously. If we would like input on the selection of a new mod, we will ask for it. Thanks for the opinions though.
