Proposal List well out of hand again

As some of the Game mods will know, a group of UN nations from the Old Guard have been patrolling the UN Proposal list lately, trying to help the mods clear out illegal proposals. While I know this is a great help to you all, and that you have as little time online as all of us, the proposal list is continually out of hand.
Today we have, at the time I am posting this, 32 pages of proposals.
I can make a pretty safe bet that almost half of them are far too stupid to be considered by the UN.
Is it possible that we could get more patrolling of this list, possibly by promoting some of the Forum Mods? It is very difficult to get a proposal passed if the Delegates have to trawl through all that, and you get points off your IQ every time you try. ;)
Sirocco's just taken a few out, I'm making a list of others that need to go.
A couple of our active GMs are busy with RL stuff at the moment... the lapse will hopefully be short-lived.

All right. I will continue to make reports via the Getting Help page when I get the time.
BTW, can I report proposals for sheer stupidity? :D

Yes you can report one for it's stupidity.
I saw one entitled "go go power rangers" removed from the floor once...

I don't even bother to report UN proposals anymore unless they are way out of line, because I assume nobody will vote a crappy - stupid - proposal into queue anyway.

Yeah, but not enough stupid UN members to get far enough in their ignorance and stupidity to do such a thing...

Considering the Rights of Minorities and Women resolution, I'm no longer sure that is a safe assumption. Anyone who spent any time reading the previous proposals could tell it didn't actually do anything new.

I wasn't talking about these types of proposals turned resolutions; I'm talking about proposals like "kill all the gays" or "make this girl the hottest" or even the blank ones.

Let's give credit where credit is due.
The Rights of Minorities and Women was just poorly "combined" and written, but it wasn't something like "Hippos Are Big" or an obvious game mechanics violation.
While there are certainly players who consider the UN and the game a big joke and would love to see another Hippos resolution hit the UN floor, there is a fine line between knocking out the obvious easy stuff and begining to knock things because of their "quality".
While I agree that 32 pages of proposals is a bit much, I read through them all this afternoon ... and while the quality of many was IMHO poor, I was surprised to find that the content of many of them was legal. What I think we are seeing could be two-fold: (1) it is effectively a holiday in the US this week, and (2) with it getting darker earlier in the Northern Hemisphere, outdoor sports give way to computer time ... in both cases, I'm guessing people are spending more time on NationStates (we've also seen a slight increase in nations in the past couple of weeks ... which reminds me that I need to grab today's nation count stats). ;)

Ah, well. Maybe I should have read this before I lodged those four lists of proposals, though I tried to dodge including ones that are legal. But legislating Christmas?

I know, I saw that one too :headbang:

Which one? There's at least four of them.
Which one? There's at least four of them.
The first one (I tend to ignore any subsequent proposal with a reworded title)....
