Every single one of these posts is 'Lol <insert random phrase>'. (If the mods want to spare themselves the annoyance of following every link, most of these are on the first page here: http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/search.php?searchid=148573

Many are in different threads, and some are 'on topic' in the sense that the random phrase appeared in a previous post.

I'm not sure if this counts as spamming, since they aren't posted en mass in single threads (as far as I've seen). However, it's still rather annoying seeing them pop up in every thread I read.

Is this against any sort of rule, or something I'll just have to try and ignore?

And I'm sure any poster could go through General and find the same instances occuring over and over again in any number of threads... Liverpool is right, your initial thread search has no results.

I didn't actually search through General. The first link is one users 'all posts by this user' page... and the entire first page is just the 'LOL <random phrase>' over and over...

The reason I was asking is because it's ONE person doing it in a whole bunch of different threads, not because 'LOL' comes up a lot...

Yep, that one works... the initial link, I don't know what's different about it, but it doesn't work.

One has 'finduser' in it... and the initial one has 'searchid'. I guess the former one actually includes which user to search for, and the initial one just said 'search for a user'...

Or something.

Aha, all good, I found a mod post (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=7500485&postcount=37) labeling it as spamming. My curiousity is satiated.

I don't know... sure seems like spam to me.
