While we're clearing things up, I've heard the the elections have recently brought about the invention of "trollbaiting"

What would be some examples of that?

There aren't going to be any. Trollbaiting has been declared a no-no.

Could someone define it for me? I'm having a hard time understand how one would go about trollbaiting.

Trollbaiting is creating a topic in support of a side of issue you oppose, specifically for the purpose of identifying your enemies. In its original incarnation, the topic originator used it to create an Ignore list of posters who disagree with his position.

First, the question about trollbaiting is not related to the discussion-at-hand. iSplit the topic.

Second, "trolling" is the act of posting controversial points-of-view for the intended purpose of provoking emotional responses. Usually, trolls take the initiative to post their comments; they post to provoke. However, a NationStates player recently admitted (here in "Moderation") to posting a topic for the intended purpose of luring trolls to post in that topic. This is the case Frisbeeteria is referring to.

I loosely define trollbaiting as deliberately posting in a manner that isn't offensive in-and-of-itself, but tempts trolls to respond to try to provoke an emotional response from you.

Breaking the rules is bad. Encouraging others to break the rules is also bad. Thus, these grounds, I declared trollbaiting to be illegal.
