My Thread was Locked and I Don't Know Why

I made a thread, "NS Book of World Records", which was in International Incidents. It was suddenly locked, after about 27 posts. There was no note from any Mod, at all, and I do not know why it was locked. Do any of you Mods know why it was locked?

Most likely for being stupid.

Most likely for being stupid.

Well, it wasn't THAT stupid. And they could have said that when they locked it.

What was so stupid about that thread that it was locked?

It'd probably become excessive self-promotion.

Most likely for being stupid.
Well, if stupid threads are going to be locked for being "stupid" from now on, are 3/4 of all the posts on these forums are going to be locked?

I thought the world records thread was fun and not stupid at all, shame to have it locked with no good reason

It'd probably become excessive self-promotion.

So? Aren't all the role-play threads a blatant way to self-promote one's military, politics, dictatorships?

Yeah, I'd say the sheep screwing and testicle juggling was a little much...

I think that was unfairly locked. It gave me a laugh...and I think even sex with sheep isn't really offensive enough to deserve that.

Well, to be fair to the mods, Myrth didn't have a link to go on at the time, either.

However, if the mods are listening, I would like to humbly request that the thread be unlocked. I've got a record pending. :D

234,976,422 (oh look he just did it)Hmmm, I do not think Nation States likes to promote this kind of material. Role Play wars are one thing, but suicide and/or attempts of it and mockery of that can be quite offensive to many. Especially when you've had a good friend take a drug over-dose twice, that you know of.Most sex with sheep in a year

1000That could be seen as posting obscene material and violating the ToS I think. Fair game for a lock in that case. Let alone a speedy delete of post.First man to juggle his own balls
Mark Vant(Immediately arrested for indecent exposure)Same again I'd think.

The point is, while it can possibly be viewed on a humorous angle, there are still standards which must be enforced.

( And if you are not too careful, you'll get those PETA folks on your ass about the sheep, heh, :) And were the cock-roaches treated in a humane fashion before, during and after the race ? )

Komokom, I can see where you're coming from, but shouldn't the individual posters be warned about inappropriate 'records?' I could see deleting the individual obscene posts and giving the posters warnings and maybe forum bans; yet I see threads that are far worse than this allowed to continue.

Probably they should, maybe they will. But remember, the thread originator still put it up as well. Although I was not targeting any-one, I just used the one post on a page link to copy/paste from, :)

( Lazy me, :p )

And I doubt such stern action may be taken, it could just be kept locked and an un-official warning. It all depends on any " previous crimes " record, which us mortals cannot see, ;)

* Ack ! I'll leave this to the Mod Staff ! I was just trying to point out why specifically it may be locked.

Then the topic starter should not be editing the innappropriate posts into the topic starter. That, in my non-moddy mind, makes him/her just as guilty.
