I've wanted to nail Austrealite for ages, and suddenly he comes and says this. If this isn't flaming then I don't know what is,

Check the first line. Also Steph, I would like to lodge a complaint on his unnoficial warning. Most people get deleted for less. He said that he hopes he dies and burns in hell.

No, most people do not get deleted for less. I warned him and he said sorry. Would you prefer I pull his lungs out? Not going to happen.

Warning was issued, case closed. If he does some thing else, let us know.

Thats the thing, I told him that i'd reported him and he went abusive at me and the other poster. You come in and suddenly he's the model of calmness, he'd never do anything wrong, and he apologises wholeheartedly for everything he said. I could say that I hope you die Steph, call you a piece of Sh*t and i'd instantly get a warning (Not that I plan to try it out). I feel, and this is my opinion only so don't take it the wrong way, but I think that if the tables had been turned, and someone had insulted a pro-Arafat, or a pro-Israel, you would have warned him no questions asked. Sorry if thats wrong but thats my impression. Your views mean you can't be objective in the matter, and it isn't your fault, everyone is entitled to a view, but you can't be objective in a ruling. Thanks again.

Flaunting a Moderation request/report in a poster's face is dangerously close to flamebait.

Everybody does it, all I said was "Austrealite, i've reported you to the mods". Nothing to merit the kind of response that I got. It was nowhere near flamebait.

I've wanted to nail Austrealite for ages...

I find this a little disturbing... we're here to keep people from breaking the rules... not be agents for revenge.

Well, he broke the rules. The fact that I want revenge on him is irrelevant. I didn't make up a post to get him warned. He actually did say that he wishes that the person would die. And called him a piece of sh*t. He was flaming and flamebaiting, therefore, regardless of my personal feelings towards him,he broke the rules.

..... And he was warned for it, case closed! People do NOT, I repeat do not get deleted for their FIRST offense, it takes a few. Some people loved Arafat, some people hated him, emotions are high, I am NOT deleting any one today pro or con Arafat, unless they really go over the top. The thread has also been locked, I'm not sure what more you can expect from the mods. Just because we're trying to be fair & balanced, don't accuse me of bias, if that was the case, you would of been deleted a long time ago and you know it!

Don't accuse me of bias because I didn't jump when you wanted me to, I'm not your monkey!

where'd that come from?
I tell you my opinion, ask you to not take it the wrong way and still you do.
I never requested for him to get deleted. I'm not allowed to say what the moderator should do... so I don't. I never asked for him to get deleted because what he did isn't that serious as to merit a deletion.

No, you just said "you were waiting to get him nailed."

nailed doesn't neccessarily mean deleted. It means, get him to stop calling my religion fake, my nationality fake and stop flaming.

Please tell me what rule this thread was breaking? There was no flaming, no flamebaiting, no trolling, so why did you lock it?
It was meant to be for both sides to air their views. The American election threads are still running around now. I asked the mods if they could lock them down for a week, and they said that they don't censor threads. So whats this? When Bin Laden dies, i'm going to post a request saying "show some respect for the dead" when people start posting about how glad they are. Some of us see him as a terrorist, same as Bin Laden. I will show no respect to a man that showed no respect to us.
