Where Is the Line Drawn?

When a player creates a new nation, what must be concluded that the player in question is impersonating another nation?
I don't know, yet, whether or not the player in question is impersonating me or not... as it's only developed in the last half an hour - the nation in question is called Tuesday hieghts - and has moved into my region, The Chemistry of 923.
I just want to know what other things I should look out for before filing an official claim, should it come to that.

I think if they make the attempt to confuse other nations into thinking that their nation is you... same flag motto etc, and also acting like they are your nation... i would think so far from what i have seen... that nation can be reported..... but.. don't quote me on it

I assumed that, too... I just want to know exactly what qualifications pertain for future reference if said nation causes problems...

ah people always quote me when i say not to...
anyways, i see you want fine exact lines or so. As I can be of no real help, I will take my leave
" _______________ " <- There it is, :p
I can't be sure Tuesday, but I don't know if its " over the line " ( hence my writing here below the line ? ;) ) unless " they " actually do " something " ...
Still, almost the same name and in the same region is a little ...
* EDIT : From my memory, when they carbon copy or mimic other data like as noted the motto ... national animal, currency ... and in particular if they post " like " or mimic you ... then I think the big button of boom is pushed from above. Once you file a getting help request ... ;)

Just file a Getting Help request and state that you suspect that someone is trying to impersonate you, but you're not sure. We'll make a judgement from there.

All right. Sounds like a plan. :)

Seems like a definate impersonation attempt to me

Well, the only similiarity is the change of the "i" and the "e" in the national name and moving into my region. I also got an eerie telegram asking me about being brothers, whatever that means... nevertheless, I'm going to keep an eye out for the time being before lodging a report.

Let me rephrase that. There is absolutely no question in my mind that that's an impersonation. That would be the same as someone making a nation called "japacia". Dont get any idea's people.

Well, I suppose I'm looking at this situation cautiously. I'm not aiming to get this nation deleted if it abides by the rules.
I can look at it two ways, really: Either this nation wants to be like me and is emulating me or this nation wants to discredit me. So far, I haven't been able to ascertain whether either is the case.
If the moderators thought it was a clear cut case of impersonation, I'd assume they would've already DEATed the nation in question, as its name is revealed.

It seems strange that they would create a nation so similar to your nation name and then move it to your region. I would call that impersonating, unless you have telegrammed the nation and asked directly why they have chosen to move a nation with a name obviously modeled after yours into the region.
As for Japaican Madness' comment--as a victim of several impersonations, it's my advice that if you have any reason to believe someone may want to impersonate/harass you, you should create nations that could be used to do so. Whether or not you keep the nations, the nation name with be unavailable to those intending to use it for malicious purposes.

I have telegrammed the nation in question and will give at least a day or so to allow them to respond.

Thanks to whoever dealt with my Getting Help request on the matter. I believe this can be locked now, once again, thanks! :)
