Strange Situation with Founders...

I am almost positive that this has never happened before, which is why I am asking.

My friend's original nation, The Republic of Shut Up and Die, was the original founder of Part123. However, that nation died due to inactivity. Shortly after, Part123 was invaded, and I called in the moderators to delete the griefers and unlock our region. The moderator who did so (under the name of "The Gloriously Modified Nation of Region Unlockers" - how original), appointed me as the Honorary Founder just prior to leaving the region. Since then, I have had all the powers of a regular founder.

So the problem comes in when my friend returns to NS. What I am asking is - If he were to reincarnate Shut Up and Die, would I retain my Founder status, or would it be given back to Shut Up and Die, as the original Founder, or would the game read it funny, and Part123 end up with two Founders?

I do not yet know if he is going to request reincarnation of his nation. I would just like to know should that possiblity arise.

This should be in Moderation, as you're asking the moderator's a direct question rather than a technical question.

Ok... I put it in Tech as it has a direct techical application, and it's not questioning the action of any Moderator or Administrator. Whatever. If a mod sees fit to move it, I have no problem with it.

In my non moddy opinion, I would say that you would keep your founder status, you proved yourself to be active and your friend can be inactive.

To save the mods from keep changing founders, and to save time, you as founder of 'Part123', would keep your position.

Speaking on the technical aspects only, if your friend is resurrected, then you would still retain Founder powers because it's your name on the regional file.

Whether or not we would return Foundership to "Shut Up and Die" is a policy question, and I don't remember offhand what the policy is on this.

Bumping this - Quick note, though - there is no big hurry on this one, as the nation's owner's computer, still running on Windows ME, crashed... again. Those of you who have or had ME know what I mean. I have been asked to put his nation on Vacation Mode, until such time as he can get online... which may not be until Christmas.

Uhhh.... "Shut Up and Die" is still a dead nation, so it's pointless to put it on Vacation Mode.

If we're talking about another nation, then I need the name. If we're still talking about The Republic of Shut up and Die, then we'll just resurrect it when the owner is ready to return.

Ack! No, I have put my friend's current nation, Mantria, on Vacation Mode. I don't even know if he wants SU&D resurrected yet - I was just wondering what would happen in that event, for his sake and mine.

Is that better, or still confusing?

Yes, that is less confusing, thank you. :)

In other words, this is a rehash of a question that I need to get back to you on.

Yeah. I was just letting you know that you have much more time to figure it out than we originally thought. :)
