Apparently some threads have been deleted/locked in the last 18 hours or so, because Bush supporters are flamebaiting etc. Well, come on now, NS is predominantly liberal. A reasonably large majority of the threads in here during the election campaign were created by Kerry supporters, and there were many examples of flame baiting.
One obvious example is MKULTRA, but there were others.
I have no problem with the fact that most people here supported Kerry, and/or are liberal. But when moderators start locking/deleting threads because liberals complain about “gloating”, and say that’s really flamebaiting, then one wonders about moderator impartiality.
It’s recognized that a majority of moderators are liberal to centrist, that almost none of them had a good word to say about Bush. But they do generally act impartially even with that political perspective. So this is perhaps a case of over-reaction? Seems a little sad to me.
You really do need to learn to relax. Bush winning is not the end of the world.
