I need to talk to an honest-to-goodness Mod, please.

Just click on the little triangle on the bottom left.

You will get all of them.....

-edit-

Make that next to the online icon

Actually this is the better route for a question. The alert box is for abusers....

One could post in the moderator forum.

One could, if one had IRC, go to irc.esper.net #themodcave and talk to us live.

Moving this to moderation and, btw, what can we help with?

IIRC, the mods have said that they don't check the alert box submissions.

Odd. Oh well.

Anyway, you can post here, go to the Getting Help page if there is a problem in the Game, e-mail them, telegram them, or make a nusiance of yourself, and they'll show up eventually. I reccommend against the last two though - they don't like TG's, and pissing them off might make them selectively deaf.

I can't speak for everyone, but the worst way to try to get me is T-grams, or the little alert button. Post in moderation, post in Getting Help or drop into #themodcave are the surest ways to get help.

I completely ignore the alert button, since so much of the reports are trash, come from the other Jolt forums, and pointlessly fill up an inbox I never check. So, stick to IRC or posting here.

I ignore most telegrams too.

I would like to lodge a complaint against another poster. How do I do that?

post a link here to the thread or post that you want to complain about and the mods will review it.

you could always start a Pro-Bush post. They will be on you in minutes. OF course, america bashing seems to be an OK topic

Was this to me? If so, I have already done those things which may be one of the reasons this individual has called me a "liar," a "coward," and many other things. Whether or not he believes me when I say I am a Vietnam veteran is immaterial to me, but he stated these things in an open forum, which I interpret as serious flamming.

As I stated in the original thread, I consider this to be an insufficient response to my complaint. This individual has inpuned my honesty and my honor. Please tell me what the next step should be and to whom I should address my complaint.

It's policy here to warn on first offence, forumban/delete on repeat offenses. If the guy has repeat offenses I've missed, more action will be taken. I have no idea what you want, but you can appeal my decision by emailing admin@nationstates.net .

I agree that most flamming is silly and can be safely ignored, but this isn't just one person. Oxtailsoup refers to "we," among whom I'm sure is ChessSquares, as well as others. I intended to post to this forum for quite some time and deeply resent the need to continually defend myself from totally unwarranted personal attacks. If you have any suggestions on this, please tell me. I can't post my DD Form 214 online since it contains a great deal of personal information.

Eutrusca, it's not worth it.

Getting angry at this individual is the same as getting angry at grafitee on a wall. This person probably would never have the guts to say it to you in person.

The fact you freely give your name and rank and the time served is usually a good indicator. Military guys would know and those that know the military would know.

He/they pick on you because you respond. Ignore them and they get bored.

But that is just my .02.

:) Thank you. I feel much better about the whole thing this morning. You guys are great! I take back all the nasty things I've said and thought about you! :D
