Flaming, possible racism.

Racism, as such, isn't against the site rules.

You'll find that it is, Racism is illegal in most real life countries laws, it won't be much different here.

You may submit content to NationStates.net so long as it is not obscene, illegal, threatening, malicious, or defamatory, does not invade the privacy or infringe the intellectual property of a third party, and does not constitute "spam."

Illegal slander is illegal on this site.

Illegal slander is illegal on this site.

This isn't nationstates.net - it's a whole other site altogether.

And an arguement can be made (keep in mind I have no idea what the rules are on this site, and I am not a lawyer at all) that if we are to be able to do proper roleplaying then we should be able to play a racist character, as long as the racism is kept in bounds of the game.

Don't think I support racism for a moment - racism, sexism, homophobia are all evils of the world we can do without - but if this is going to be a roleplaying site then people should be able to write the RP stuff as they think their characters would.

But like I said, I don't know the rules and have no idea about what laws cover what area on the web. So I could be really, really wrong!

I can't find the Jolt ToS this second, but I'm sure for the same reasons, racism would still be a no-go area.

If I find anything more, I'll edit this post.

Racism as a political viewpoint was certainly allowed when NS was hosted on the old server. Racist abuse is a separate matter, and was not allowed.

The making of racist comments is certainly not illegal in the UK where the Jolt servers are located.
